Remarks

I heard about this college from my relatives and got a very good review. The faculty members are very good and knowledgeable and are always ready to help the students. College's admission process was very easy and very comfortable for the students. Classrooms are well furnished and our teachers are very supportive in academics and any doubts regarding our future.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this PGDM because I have a lot of interest in management. In graduation, I have done BBA and I wanted to continue my studies in management to grasp more knowledge about it and become a successful entrepreneur. The faculty members are very knowledgeable and well qualified. The college provides us with development studies with management which will improve our personal skills. Our class consists of 60 students but teachers communicate with each one of them equally.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 470000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Our college provides us with very good companies for internships. Our seniors are very happy with their internships as they gained a lot of experience from their internships. We make projects on our internships and learn a lot.

Placement Experience

Campus placements are very good as I heard from our seniors. I saw very good companies visiting our college for placements. This time our seniors got an average package of 5.5 lakh per annum. As I have heard till now our seniors are very much happy with the placements.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is very low compared to the education they are providing us. Compared to other colleges our fees is much lower but the education is very good. The college provides us with very good internships to improve.

Campus Life

We have a very large library and a lot of books are available. Our library teacher is very helpful and searching and guiding us about the books. We can issue atleast 4 books at a time and can study in the library till 4 pm in the evening.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facilities are very good. I live in a single bedroom and I am feeling very comfortable in it. The rooms are very clean and painted. Cupboards are very well furnished. Our Warden is very friendly and caring. He always takes care of us and thinks about us. The food is also good.

Hostel Fee: INR 60000 per year

Interview Experience

I took admission during the pandemic situation of Covid 19 in August 2020 so my personal interview was conducted through call. Questions were generally related to the subjects we studied in our graduation.

Likes

Placements are quite good peers are usually from ranchi
Professors are quite good. They have dept knowledge ot the subjects which they are teaching
Pressure is quite low if you compare it with other b schools

Dislikes

Course curriculum can be made more pratical as it is quite theoretical in nature
Pratical exposure can be improved like more guest lectures and seminars

Placement Experience:

After 4th semester students get eligible for placements. I guess around more than 50+ companies visit the campus. The highest package is always around 20+ lakhs and on average you can consider 12 lakhs while the lowest is 8 lakhs. The percentage of students getting placed can be said around 95%. My plan is to get a good corporate job and work there as such no fancy plans.

Life at XLRI

Likes

Great campus life. Everyone gets single rooms, so theres privacy and flexibility to fo things at your own pace.
Engagement activities in terms of fests, committees on campus. Everyone gets a chance to participate in varius events catering to their likes and dislikes.
The professors really lean into technologically advanced teaching resources abd methods usings google classrooms and teams classrooms. This streamlined the deadlines, required assignments and upcoming quizzes

Dislikes

A certain lack of transparency regarding the placements policies and process.
The hunger for more students and contant construction on campus. All free and green spaces are used for more rooms constructed which just deteriorates the quality of life there.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The HR course was quite comprehensive. Lots of subjects were dedicated to different functionalities of HR. Lots of focus on Law, and employee benefits, worker rights and employer responsibility. The course boasts of some of the stalwarts of the industry teaching different courses such as the Professor who teaches compensation is responsible for designing the compensation structure over at HUL. It's very comprehensive, and periodically reviewed to remain relevant to the changing times

The professor's are amazing and always ready to help.
The infrastructure is very beautiful and charming.
The course curriculum is up to date so it helps in several areas.

Dislikes

For me i think IMS is best and yes of course you should surely enroll here.

Placement Experience:

There are many companies that visit IMS and pick students by taking exams and interviews. Some of them include Accenture, Capgemini, tcs, etc. These multinational companies visit and you can take your chance by qualifying exam and interview. In short, there is full placement in IMS and you will surely be settled after your course.

Admission:

The admission was done on the basis of the CAT entrance exam. I applied for the admission online and after my application was shortlisted, I took the written test conducted by the college which was followed by the group discussion and personal interview.

A review on my college

Remarks:

The infrastructure of our college is very good. The campus life was great too, we have a good library updated to a digital library, labs, counseling center, ATM, etc. The film society used to run film shows at the weekend which was awesome.
