Remarks

The facilities provided to the students are very good. The faculty are supportive. The Quality of the study which this college provides makes it different from the others. Along with studies a lot of focus is given on personality development and also making the students aware of the present market situation. Placements are also good. The admission is process is easy and is flexible for the students. The process is very convenient. The reason for preferring this college is the quality of the study is very good.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course as I strongly believe that this course can equip me with all the skills and knowledge required to be an able manager or an entrepreneur. The Faculty here are specialised in their subjects and are having high qualifications. The Quality of study provided here is very different from other colleges.

Internships Opportunities

Pantaloons, V Mart, Banking Sectors etc are the companies where students can have their internship. The SIP is conducted after the Third trimester and this is compulsory for every student. The Leaning from the SIP is analysed by the faculty.

Placement Experience

After the 4th trimester, the campus placements are started. The companies recently visited for campus placement are V Mart, ICICI Bank, BYJU's, etc. The placement is done well here. The placement unit tries to make it a 100% placement every year. During placement, the College gives the best training required to crack the interview.

Fees and Financial Aid

The Fee structure of this College for the PGDM course is about 4 lakhs and 70 thousand. The fees are very nominal in comparison to other colleges. And monetary support is also provided through the college.

Campus Life

A lot of social and cultural programmes are being conducted. Festive occasions are celebrated. On different occasions, different kind of celebrations is organised in the College. Campus life is very good and one will enjoy college life here.

Interview Experience

I took my admission during the situation of Covid-19 so there was no Group discussion round. But for getting the admission I had to face the Personal Interview which was conducted over telephonic mode. Also, the college conducts an entrance exam for the selection criteria.

Likes

Placements are quite good peers are usually from ranchi
Professors are quite good. They have dept knowledge ot the subjects which they are teaching
Pressure is quite low if you compare it with other b schools

Dislikes

Course curriculum can be made more pratical as it is quite theoretical in nature
Pratical exposure can be improved like more guest lectures and seminars

Placement Experience:

After 4th semester students get eligible for placements. I guess around more than 50+ companies visit the campus. The highest package is always around 20+ lakhs and on average you can consider 12 lakhs while the lowest is 8 lakhs. The percentage of students getting placed can be said around 95%. My plan is to get a good corporate job and work there as such no fancy plans.

Life at XLRI

Likes

Great campus life. Everyone gets single rooms, so theres privacy and flexibility to fo things at your own pace.
Engagement activities in terms of fests, committees on campus. Everyone gets a chance to participate in varius events catering to their likes and dislikes.
The professors really lean into technologically advanced teaching resources abd methods usings google classrooms and teams classrooms. This streamlined the deadlines, required assignments and upcoming quizzes

Dislikes

A certain lack of transparency regarding the placements policies and process.
The hunger for more students and contant construction on campus. All free and green spaces are used for more rooms constructed which just deteriorates the quality of life there.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The HR course was quite comprehensive. Lots of subjects were dedicated to different functionalities of HR. Lots of focus on Law, and employee benefits, worker rights and employer responsibility. The course boasts of some of the stalwarts of the industry teaching different courses such as the Professor who teaches compensation is responsible for designing the compensation structure over at HUL. It's very comprehensive, and periodically reviewed to remain relevant to the changing times

The professor's are amazing and always ready to help.
The infrastructure is very beautiful and charming.
The course curriculum is up to date so it helps in several areas.

Dislikes

For me i think IMS is best and yes of course you should surely enroll here.

Placement Experience:

There are many companies that visit IMS and pick students by taking exams and interviews. Some of them include Accenture, Capgemini, tcs, etc. These multinational companies visit and you can take your chance by qualifying exam and interview. In short, there is full placement in IMS and you will surely be settled after your course.

Admission:

The admission was done on the basis of the CAT entrance exam. I applied for the admission online and after my application was shortlisted, I took the written test conducted by the college which was followed by the group discussion and personal interview.

Remarks:

The infrastructure of our college is very good. The campus life was great too, we have a good library updated to a digital library, labs, counseling center, ATM, etc. The film society used to run film shows at the weekend which was awesome.
