Remarks
The most major uniqueness and strength the college stands for is its location. Located in Mumbai, it is gifted with the presence of numerous corporate offices in the vicinity which becomes a locus of opportunities. The placement figures are also very optimistic. In terms of ROI, its only competition is FMS, although in this war FMS wins. The faculty is with doctoral degrees that hold the learnings from foreign universities. The weakness includes poor diversity, lack of brand visibility and not regarded as most appropriate for students who want to specialise in Marketing, HR and Finance.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum includes Institute core, program core, program elective and institute elective, an 8-week summer internship and field project. The exams are held on basis of the trimester system. The pedagogy is based on case studies and real-life problem-solving. The entire course is 126 credits. The student-faculty ratio stands at 8:1.
Internships Opportunities
The highest stipend offered to my batch was 3.62 lakhs and the average stood at 1.8 lakhs. The key summer recruiters include BIRA91, AB InBev, Amway, Asian paints etc. The number of offers made was 487.
Placement Experience
The key recruiters include Colgate, Dabur, L'oreal, Marico, ITC, Nivea, P&G and many others in the FMCG sector. In consulting sector-the major recruiters are GEP, EY, EY GDS, PwC India, Deloitte etc. From the manufacturing sector include Castrol, Crompton, Signify, RIL etc. The average placement stands at 20.88 lakhs and the highest at 58.24 lakhs.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees are around 15 lakhs. The loan can easily be sanctioned as it is recognised by the government of India as a prestigious institute of India. In the area of scholarship, the institute offers teaching stewardship of Rs.12400 to GATE qualifiers. The SC/ST candidates can avail central sector scholarship available from the government.
Campus Life
The campus is very large with an auditorium, library, three hostels-all equipped with lifts, a common room, water coolers, a washing machine and wi-fi. There are also many recreational and healthcare facilities. There are many active student committees and councils. The peer group you can experience here is super-rich.
Interview Experience
The PI was one of the best PI experience I have ever had. The interviewers were very lenient and friendly. My interview revolved around my opinions on various general awareness topics, various government policies and my family background. The tip for those who are appearing for the GD/PI round is that you must all brush the basics of graduation and must be acquainted with all burning topics in news.
