My experience at Nitie Mumbai!

Good aspects- ranked 12th in NIRF ranking, located in the industrial hub of India-Mumbai, a very strong alumni base, case study based pedagogy, very competitive environment and great placement. Bad aspects- lack of diversity both in term if domains and gender, very few females in the batch and not well known for the domain of marketing, finance and HR.

Trimester based examination system. Total 126 credit course and includes both elective and core courses. Each component subject holds 3 credits. There is a mandatory requirement for a summer internship and field project.

There are 149 recruiters visiting campus for summer placements. The average stipend offered was 1.78 lakhs and the median lied around 1.5 lakhs. The key recruiters included Dabur, Bira91, Amway, Axis Bank, Asian paints, P&G.

The average package ranges around 21 lakhs and the highest being 58.98 lakhs. There is a total of 127 recruiters visiting campus for placements. Around 37% of the batch got placed on day zero itself. The average placement for the top 10% was 37.89 lakhs.

Total fees are 14.7 lakhs. This may however change, any of it is at the discretion of the management pf the company. The college offers a 30% waiver to students who have a family income of not more than 2.5 lakhs.

The campus is very serene and green. It is also located in the most exotic region of Mumbai which celebrates loads of multinational company offices. This offers a huge opportunity to explore and learn. The peer group at the college is extremely learned and helpful. The campus is wi-fi enabled and has 3 hostels.

My GD experience revolved around women at the workplace or better say the role of women in workplaces and shall they be given a reservation even at workplaces. My PI was full of questions regarding my experience with an NGO and my publications.
