Remarks

Pros: Good Infrastructure and facilities, Research and lab centers, Cooperative faculty. Cons: Unnecessary fines, Rude security guards and management, Need for experienced staff.

Entrance Preview

I took JEE Entrance exam and I scored good marks. This college has a wide number of streams and it was known for its technical aspects. Also, it was in close proximity which made it easier for me to commute.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Well, we have been through many research activities of our field in every semester. In First semester, we learned about basic electrician and mechanic skills at Workshop, in the fifth semester, we lived in Himachal for 15 days to make a topographical map of the area Naddi.

Internships Opportunities

No, it doesn't provide internship at college. We have to choose certain industries for that .Many top placement companies come to our college to find valuable beings and they choose many with big packages.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees structure is normal I think. They take 10 thousand for registration and usually 40 k per semester for Engineering.Buses are expensive with 10 k fees. The fines which are imposed are too many for little things and are exaggerated ones which make student difficult to leave the college campus.

Campus Life

4.5

Daily campus life is full of study and research in labs unless you have enrolled in co-curricular activities which this college favors highly. There are wide areas, grounds, parks, and canteens to chill out. Also, there is a large auditorium which holds many conferences. Gender ratio depends on courses as boys outnumber girls in mechanical, civil and electronic but girls outnumber boys in Computer. There are many students from different states like Jammu and Kashmir.Haryana,Himachal,Rajasthan,Bihar,U.P. and northeast region too. There are students from other countries too like Nepal and African countries. Student of every religion studies here.Mainly Sikhs,Hindus, and Muslims.

Alumni/Alumna

They never cease to educate and warn us for heads up so we don't make any mistakes.Interaction is continuous as they make great friends which help us greatly in college and after that too.

Exam Structure

Mid term exams happened 3 times a semester then reduced to 2 times a semester it was kind of hectic because there were no holidays in between. Exams happened after every semester and labs had 3-4 lectures continuously so it made us a bit exhausted sometimes but it was good for us as it only taught more things.

Faculty

4.5

The faculty was very supportive and helpful throughout the course not just on an academic level but also on a personal level. They taught us every possible way to tackle the problems and almost everyone was experienced. This was rare in all other colleges.

Placement Experience:

Students start becoming eligible for campus placements from the sixth semester, and that’s when most training sessions for aptitude, coding and soft skills also begin. The placement cell is active throughout the year and brings in a mix of product-based, service-based and mid-tier tech companies. The number of offers varies every year, but CSE-related branches usually get the highest share of opportunities. Companies come for roles like software trainee, analyst, QA, support engineering and web development, so there’s a good spread of entry-level roles.

The placement of our college is good but its lack to bring big names but overall it's 3 out of 5 as it's basically focus on bringing software companies but our stream is of electronics so we donot have that much knowledge about coding so we lack to get placed this is the only disadvantage of the placement cell here

Placement Experience:

There is an option for students to opt for placements from campus in our university and if we seect that option we are given special training by the university it self in fields which we think we are weak. That include technical and non technical fields like soft skills. University also ties up with other triaining companis to train us in better way by calling tutors from outside the campus for teaching us. Over all if we consider we are already well trained by university to sit for on campus placements and we usually get a good paying job which also helps us to gain more knowledge and improve ourself.
