Divyesh Makwana's Review On Maharaja Sayajirao University Of Baroda - [MSU], Vadodara

Our college structure was supportive for our self development and our college management was also very effective for students. And by university election we choose our student leader to represent students opnion to the management.

I choose the course of electrical engineering, all course of engineering is time period of 4 year after 12th. And all engineering course after diploma is of 3 year. The engineering course are formed in semester structure. After each semester one semester exam need to be clear. There is total 100marks exam + 50 Mark Viva for each subject(some subject does not have practical and Viva). The last but no least in final semester (8th) we have to work on a project of our engineering field.

In our college the majority placement committee members are students, and few proffesor to guide students. The committee members was choosen from each department so that they take care of industrial interest of the other students of their departments.The student committee members enlist placement companies and our helping proffesor approach to HR committee of different committee. If any students want to avail internship then respected department head and Dean help them to do it. I availed one internship of 1 month of one power plant to get industrial knowledge about my engineering field. In my college average placement is 70% but department wise average placement percentage varies. And placement package varies 2.5 LPA to 17 LPA (amounts is in INR). And some of the students also goes to studies in abroad.

In our college we celebrate fresher's part, majorly all cultural festivals. There is four major events of 3 day done every year in our callege. 1 prerna ( social event) this event is to motivate students and gather socially. And also there are leadership speach. 2. Paramarsh, in this event we can participate in physical activities, management related activities and enjoy celebrating night. 3. Footprints, this is technical event of engineering. We can participate in different technical quest of engineering and enjoy one celebration night. 4. Junoon, this is sports event. Every student of our University can participate in every sports of this event. All the events are organized by studen of our college.

Our University was grant in aid. So the college fees was very feasible. If I talk about fees structure then we have to pay fees for each year. One year fees of engineering was 9000rs (exam fees included). If any student fails in examination and have to give retry then he/she have to pay extra fees for that. And library fees was 50rs/ year. The hostel fees was 5000rs/ per year.

Well I have opted only one scholarship, that was organized by CM of our state. The university also avail scholarship for financially weak students.

My field is electeical engineering so the gender ratio of male/female was 60/5 but for other courses like computer course and chemical engineering that was around 30/25. In college life we enjoyed all cultural celebration and all festival of year. Apart from this we enjoyed fresher's party, farewell,new year celebration, teachers day, national festival. And I attended many guest lectures of management, technically knowledge, motivational speech etc.

Yes I had been opted for hostel and there is residential hall for students. There is different residential hall for boys and girls. Each hall have 100rooms and each room have 3 students, it was sharing rooms. Apart from these there is sport groud for university student and facultys. Sports equipment also provides by university for each hall of residence.

Yes, our senior was very helpful in studies and industrial life also. And our alumni helps to develop our education structure as well as our campus. In some of our event we invite our Senior and spend time with them, they help us to achieve our future goals.

After 10th I choose science field with math group because I want to be an engineer. After completion of 12th science we have to attend another examination call JEE. And by both merit of 12th and JEE our merit rank generated by ACPC committee. And according to my rank the best engineering college in my state is the maharaja sayajirao university I got.The education culture and extra curricular activities of this college help to develop my skills so I choose this institute. The education structure of this university is semester system, one semester is of 6 month time period, and after completion of semester one examination for each semester. All engineering course after 12th is 4 year.

Our faculty and head of department was very talented. Some of them had experience of industrial culture. There is total 40-50 lecture(each of 1 hour) for each subject and 15-20 lab work(each of 3 hour), but all subject does not require lab lectures. There is total 35-40 subject for electrical engineering course in four year. Every faculty member explain us about the importance of subject and how it can be useful in our future life. And clear out question according to their knowledge.
