Remarks
There are two courses in NITIE that takes the CAT scores i.e, PGDIM and PGDISEM. It takes GATE scores for other courses. The interview process was very smooth. There was a link provided for questions, where questions appeared and I had to record my response in the given time. Since only Engineers are eligible for admission in NITIE, the cut-offs are generally high. General students need at least 95 percentile for admission. NITIE ranks 12th in the Management colleges ranking by National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) and 11th by Business Today's "India's best B-school - 2019". It has a comparatively larger batch size of around 500 considering the GATE students as well.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course structure is trimester based. The subjects are mainly divided into Institution core, Programme core and Elective courses. The first year (first 3 trimesters) mainly consists of Institute and Programme core courses. Since NITIE is best known for it's Supply chain. The students are made a family with these courses in the first year. The elective courses are open in the second year which is alloted on the basis of GPA scored. The timeline for Exams and course start are very strictly followed and are very rigorous. The schedule is generally provided at the start of the course. There are a lot of Professors who have industry interaction and actively work on live projects. Every student has to go through the 2 months of SIP after completion of the First year generally in the month of April and May.

Fees and Financial Aid
For PGDIM and PGDISEM the course fee is 14.63 lakhs. The course fee is on the higher side but NITIE has one of the best ROI to offer among the top B-schools of India. There are some government policies which provide scholarship for SC/ST students. For the rest, you have to rely on Corporate and Alumni scholarship, which are not a lot in number and quantity. But, it is very easy to acquire loans from SBI.

There are various committees to be part of PlaceCom that handles the placement activities and AdCom looks after the Admission process. It also provides support to the students seeking admission to the college. The classrooms are spacious and specifically designed to facilitate participative learning. It's equipped with all the necessary equipment like projectors and screens.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel fee is included in the Total fee of the college. You get a double sharing room with all the basic facilities. The hostels have the facility of indoor games like Carrom, Table tennis and Pool. The mess has to be paid for separately, the food is nice.
Interview Experience
NITIE has a different form which is released in January and the last date is around Feb. It considers CAT scores for PGDIM and PGDISEM courses. The cut-off for general students is almost 95 percentile. Due to the pandemic, GD and PI have not held in the Year 2020 admissions. The students were provided with a link for video interviews. It consisted of two parts: The first was some predetermined questions regarding college and background. The second part consisted of a random topic, for which students had to speak for 3 minutes. The whole process was very smooth. Then a merit rank was generated based on the interview and CAT score.
