Remarks

IMT Ghaziabad accepts scores of GMAR, XAT, CAT, and CMAT. You can apply with any of the scores or even upload multiple scores if you have taken more than one of the mentioned entrance exams. Your educational qualifications are needed in the admission application form and a few other necessary personal details. You will have to fill in your preference for the preferred campus as well as the choice of program. After the submission of forms, a shortlist will be released, after which the shortlisted candidates will go through a selection process. The selection process has a group activity around and a personal interview round. When the process is done, the college release the results, and the selected candidates get a private mail confirming their selection.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I am enrolled in the PGDM Marketing course which is one of the main flagship courses offered at IMT. The curriculum is the same for all the 1st year students and the 2nd year is where the students have specialization specific courses. The specialization can be chosen by the student based on a personal preference from the list of marketing, finance, operations, and HR for the PGDM Full-TIme Students. The other streams have pre-decided major specializations like marketing and finance. The faculty-student ratio is decent as one professor teaches 1-2 classes in one term, and each class has around 60 students. The faculty is well versed in their domains and have post-graduation degrees with a major portion of the faculty having a good amount of industry work experience. Plenty of case studies are used to teach the concepts in the course by all faculty members. The examinations are based on the concepts taught in class and mostly include practical knowledge-based questions.

Internships Opportunities

4

A large number of companies visit the campus and offer different profiles in the marketing, HR, finance, and operations fields. The stipends offered are as per the placement report of 2018-2020 where the maximum stiped was 3,00,000 and the average was 87,840. Enough opportunities are available for the whole batch to get placed and on-campus placements are given to the students interested. Students have an option to opt-out if they wish to take off-campus placements.

Placement Experience

4

There are two campus placement processes that go on during your 2 years of the course. The first is the summer internship placement process that is for the internships for the first-year students, and the second is the final placement process which is for the final placements of the second-year students. The placement details are mentioned on the official college website as well, but to state some important statistics, the highest CTC for the 2018-2020 batch was 58.22L and the average CTC was 13.6L. The average placements are good and companies across all sectors visit the campus with maximum companies from the IT and BFSI sector.

Fees and Financial Aid

Being a private B-Schools the fee is a bit high but can be considered as a bit lowers compared to the other good private B-Schools. It is around 17-18L for a flagship PGDM course at the IMT Ghaziabad campus and goes up to 22L for the PGDM-DCP program which includes 3 of the 6 semesters to be in the IMT Dubai campus. There is no exclusive scholarship offered by the college. There are plenty of loans available in almost all the reputed banks which can be availed for the purpose of pursuing higher studies. Most of the students in college are availing these loans and the process is very easy compared to any other financial assistance alternatives. The jobs offered at the campus are good and you can get your full return on investment but it all depends on how well you perform in the placements and also on your previous work experiences. Even for freshers, there are ample opportunities to get good placements if you have the skill set needed and work hard on building your CV.

Campus Life

5

IMT has two of the most renowned fests, one being Passion, the cultural fest of IMT which runs for around a month and attracts participants from B-Schools all around India along with hosting celebrities to perform. The second is Chakravyuh, which is the sports fest and has a big name and heritage attached to it. This also has a lot of B-Schools taking part in it and hosts renowned sports personalities for various events. The IMT Library provides a wide range of books and also provides a lot of analytical and research tools that will help you in case study competitions and project assignments. The college has a lot of clubs and committees and enough variety fulfilling everyone's passions. There are clubs for marketing, finance, sports, debating, social work, etc. giving everyone an opportunity to pursue their passion along with studying.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

The hostels are compulsory for all students and the fee is included in the college fee. My batch has not been to campus yet due to the pandemic situation so I do not have a first-hand experience of the hostel and the mess facilities.

Interview Experience

5

The first round of selection was a group activity. The shortlisted candidates were divided into groups of 10-12 and were given topics to discuss. The activity was to pan out a plan of action based on the situation given to you and the candidates were provided with stationery such as chart papers, markers, and stick notes so that they could present a creative and explanatory solution. After the group activity, all the candidates had a PI where they were asked questions based on their profile form and the panel had 2-3 members. They were asked to give a brief introduction and based on the introduction and the points mentioned in their profile form the questions were asked based on that, and follow-up questions were asked based on your response. There were questions on general awareness and current affairs along with a few situational questions to check your approach to the situation given.
