My college experience

Bharati Vidyapeeth University is a deemed to be university located in Pune, Maharashtra, India. It was established in the year 1964. The university is ranked 62 among Top Universities by NIRF ranking and accredited by the NAAC with ‘A’ grade and approved by UGC. It has 180 educational units including 80 Colleges and Institutes of conventional and professional disciplines. The university offers UG, PG, Doctorate, diploma and certificate courses in various streams. This college is known for its alumni. Here, admission criteria are based on Merit. They consider Merit of there personal Entrance Exam which Is BVP CET. I have scored 77/100 and got merit no. 118. I have chosen BTech in Computer Science Department. Here, faculties are Qualified but some of them are using Marathi which is sometimes difficult for us to understand. Overall faculties are good and they are friendly with students. They are taking 2 unit test during each semester. If you start studying one week before the exam you will score good marks. Papers are not tough you can easily score well.

Students are eligible in 4th year for placement companies like Amazon, Microsoft, Gsoc, Goldman Sachs etc. Come for the placement drive with great packages Alumni networking is great is our college, you just need to take help of your seniors. They generally offered a package between 3-5 lakhs. But some get 8-9 lakhs even few got 12lakhs also. Recently 36 lakhs package is offered to go one of my seniors. Average package is 5-6 lakhs, I think which is enough for a good start. Almost 85% placed form all branches. But in CSE, CE, CSBS & in IT placement is more than other branches. I have planned a master degree after this bachelor degree and wants to start My own startup.

Here fee structure is 1,20,000 each year. I think this is not so High not so low. This university situated in student area Katraj. Here the cost of living is low. Students can manage with 10,000rs per month in which all cost of living is considered just like rent, food, stationary etc. If they are using the club hotel bar regular then their budget expands to 15,000Rs.

They have annual fest which is named as Bhartiyam. This is organised by the University in the month of March and April every year. They have a huge library which considers a lot of books. Students can easily get them. They have to make their library Pass. Students are good at the campus they come from different places, different states. There is huge unity in diversity among students. I have friends from Delhi and UP. They all are very helpful. Here, in Katraj campus there is a huge stadium ????? where different sports competition takes place during the whole academic year. Now talk about social grp and clubs. They have 2 University level club which is Leo and Rotaract club they are mostly doing social Works. But here some more clubs for music, art, dance and drama.

Hostel facility is not good as we compare to university. They have a hostel for girls and boys both but boys can use hostel in only first year and girls can use the hostel for the whole academic session which is 4 year. Food quality is not so good at the Boys hostel and old girls hostel. Girls have another New girls hostel I have listened to good reviews of living and food from there.
