College diaries

Good infrastructure and very good placements. The admission process is that I entered through government quota and I selected this college based on my cut off marks. After that, we need to go to college within 7 days to pay fees and confirm our seats. One thing which is very important is placements. So I prefer it only for placements. Shiksha and collegedunia are the websites which I referred for this college.

Since the world is based on technology I prefer to choose IT because all other departments should anyways come back to IT company if they are not placed in core companies. One department mostly has 30-40 faculties and there are about 3 classes for each department. One class will have a maximum of 65 students. Teachers are mostly PhD graduates and teaching depends upon the teacher. Few teach very we and few don't. The teaching method is using the smartboard. Every teacher will prepare a PPT of the topic which they are about to teach and they will display it in the smartboard and they will teach. Internal exams will be in a gap of one month. It is easy to pass if you cover the portion fully. But it is difficult to cover the portion within one night since there with be 2 exams per day. Mostly 3/4 th of the students will pass.

Many companies offered internship during the 8th semester itself. Most of the product companies and few service companies offered internships. Trimble, cts, aspire, AstraZeneca, thought focus, examly, Hexaware etc offers internship. Stiped will depend from 5000-15000

From 6th semester mostly placements start coming. Nearly 40 companies visited until 7 th sem itself. Mostly 70% people are placed during 7th sem itself. TCS, CTS, Accenture, Capgemini, coviam, Trimble, AstraZeneca, thoughtfocus, Zoho, Amazon etc visited our college. Cts made nearly 100+ offers. Capgemni 80+, coviam 15,trimble neraly 10,aztrazeneca also nearly 10 and so on. Highest salary will be Amazon 16 lakhs per annum. Average package is 4-5 lakhs per annum. Most of the companies like trimble, zoho etc offer this package, 95% will get placed in our college. I will join the company in which I was selected after the degree.

Fees will be about 120000 for government quota and 150000 for management quota. The scholarship will be provided by the state bank only for government quota students. It will be varying based on students status..(hostel, marks in schools, parents income). The job which I got is from CTS as graduate trainee and stipend will be 10000.

Life at the campus is very good. Infrastructure will be fantastic. Dhwani is the cultural which is conducted at jan or feb months. For first years symposiums will be conducted. All types of books will. Be available in library. Digital library is also present with internet access. Classrooms will be having smart board. Sports is very famous in our college. Cricket match will be held frequently. In the first year students will be asked to enroll in sports if they are interested and they will be taken to various competition There are many club activities like dance, photography , tamil club, English club. Life at skcet is the Instagram page run by students.

There will be 6 cot and 4 cot rooms. For first and second yr students it is purely based on luck for 4 cot rooms. And for 3 rd and 4th yr only 4 cots. For 2,3,4 yrs we can choose our roommates. 2 fans are present in per room. For 6 cot it's difficult during summer. Meals will be 60% good. Some meals will be good and some will be bad. At the time of admission, we should choose a hostel and should pay the fees. Else seats will be filled. Kuniyamuthur, kovaipudhur and BK pudhur has many rented hostels and rooms.

Since I had enough marks for entering inside the college I was not asked for any GD. Our college doesn't have any GD or PI for admission. Government quota students come through counselling and few students can come through JEE, Others will be management quota who will be straightly putting admission in college by paying the fees.
