Remarks

Academy for Technical and Management Excellence (ATME) is one of Mysore city's top upcoming undergraduate colleges. Situated within a 13 km radius from the central business district of Mysore city, this college boasts of an expansive infrastructure, State of the art laboratories, and well stocked Research and Reading areas. My admission to this college was through the CET entrance examination. The college had organized an investiture ceremony to welcome the new entrants. The college administration was extremely supportive of the students and made them feel welcome to this institution. The college has recently been accredited with the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) which is a huge achievement, considering very few colleges have successfully passed the stringent standards of the NBA organization. The college also has a scholarship program to aid students coming from economically weaker sections, wherein the entire tution fee is waived off by the institution for meritorious students.o

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The college provides engineering courses for the five standard branches, namely-Mechanical, Civil, Computer science, Electronics & Communication, and Electrical engineering. This College has a well-oiled infrastructure to ensure students gain practical knowledge and make them industry-ready. Several tech companies have an MoU with the college which is very beneficial during college placements. To ensure that each and every student receives individual attention, the college has ensured that a healthy teacher-student ratio is maintained. Each course is divided into multiple sections to ensure that a ratio of 1 teacher for every 60 students is maintained. The teachers in this institution are highly qualified professionals with almost all of them having attained post-graduation in their respective fields. Some of the senior lecturers are doctorates, while a few of them have gained experience in the corporate world which is extremely beneficial to the students.

Placement Experience

4

The college has a separate Placement and Training cell which focuses on training the students to excel in placement drives and ensure better companies visit the college every year. A dedicated placement officer is available during the entire course to support the students in the placement process. Generally, the college starts inviting the companies for placement drives in the Seventh semester of the course. Various multinational companies have visited the college and hand-picked excellent students as their employees. Mindtree, Infosys, TechMahindra, Wipro, Nokia, DellShapoorjiPallonji Group, Nagarjuna Construction Company, etc are some of the companies that have organized placement drives in the college. An average pay package of 7-8LPA is assured for meritorious students. Generally, a majority of the students opt for post-graduation after completing their undergraduate, hence around 30% of the students in a batch are successfully placed in various multinational companies.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college is affiliated with the Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU). Therefore the fee structure is governed by the government of Karnataka. My course fee included 50000 as a CET fee, which varies according to a student's CET ranking and his quota. Additionally, the college charges a tution fee of around 25000 towards college management expenses. Apart from this, there are miscellaneous fees, which include sports fee, Laboratory usage fee, Exam fee, etc which amounts to another 10-12 thousand rupees. Also, students opting for transportation facilities are charged with 22-25,000 depending on the distance of the student's residence from the college premises. Those students seeking admission through the management quota have a completely different free structure which is wholly decided by the college management. This fee may depend on various factors like Student marks, Course applied, etc. The scholarship is offered to students coming from the economically weaker background by the college

Campus Life

5

The social life of a student in this college is totally amazing. The college promotes co-curricular activities apart from academics to hone the soft skills of the students. Annually the college organizes a Cultural fest named ATMEYA in the month of March-April. The fest is very popular and entertaining as it consists of innumerable competitions and activities to promote social skills in the students and provide a stress-buster in their academic calendar. Apart from the cultural fest, the academic fest is conducted separately by individual departments to promote the academic as well as sport skills of the students. The institution has a number of clubs that the students can join depending on their interests. Clubs like Movie Club, Literary Club, Music Club, Debate club, etc are very popular among the students. The college also hosts an annual sports fest promoting sports like Football, Cricket, Athletics, and Basketball. Colleges from around the city are invited to participate in these events.

Hostel Facilities

4

The college had a start of the art hostel facility to provide accommodation to students coming from other cities. Dormitories as well as three sharing individual rooms are available according to the student's needs. A hostel warden is assigned to each block of the hostel to provide security and support to the students. The hostel also boasts of an inbuilt mess area which has a large kitchen to cook healthy and nutritious meals for the hostellers. North Indian and South Indian meals are prepared in separate vegetarian and nonvegetarian quarters according to individual food preferences. The registration process is fairly easy and well managed. The hostel fee can be paid along with the tution fee at the college administration block itself. Address proof and tution fee receipt are the only documents required to avail of hostel services. The rooms are well lit and regularly cleaned keeping the health and hygiene of the students in mind. Overall, a hostel Life in this college hostel is excellent

Placement Experience:

Placements at RNS Institute of Technology are good. Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th or 7th semester. Many companies visit the college, including IT and core companies. Some of the common recruiters include TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and a few core companies for EEE. The average package is around 3 to 5 LPA, and higher packages are also offered for top-performing students. The highest package can go much higher depending on the company. Around 70–80% of students get placed, mainly in IT roles. For EEE students, core placements are limited, but there are good opportunities in software roles. The college also provides training and support for placements. After completing my degree, I plan to get placed in a good company and build my career.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is very unique, and very new, we are not taught irrelevant subjects and topics like every university does, Polaris school of technology (PST) is a new gen college which mainly focuses on tech, producing the best engineers not amongst india but amongst the world, it's aim is to produce engineers who are better than IITians and MITians, all these specifications influenced me to choose this course/curriculum When it comes to real-world applications, Polaris school of technology(PST) gives us real-life problems and scenario based projects through evaluations which help us in the future and helps us to build a proper approach for problems and train us to be the best. We have two main exams per sem which would be conducted every 3 months that is ½th of the sem, we have a total of 8 sems, so total 16 exams, our exams would be difficult for other college students, but not for us as we have the best mentors.
