Remarks

The reason for me to choose this college is primarily because of ranking out of all the college my college was the best. I researched about in blogs such as shiksha.com and engineer360.com about my college. when I enter college during the admission process in July 2016, I like the campus ambience it went smooth the staff were extremely friendly and helpful and was quick. The faculty are approachable and industry exposure, projects build resume better. So, I recommend to everyone. Good aspects: Staff is friendly, Well equipped computer labs, Vast parking lot, Excellent faculty members, Hands-on experience on various technologies such as raspberry pi and Arduino by conducting various workshops every month. College also allows students to attend various Conferences, Well maintained canteen Bad aspects: Campus is not vast, It would be better if they employ more number of instruments in labs. Placement is good but for telecommunications streams, the opportunities are less, uniforms for most of the days.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Telecommunications was equivalent to electronics and evergreen. Before taking the course I asked my seniors and they suggested that telecommunications are good. Well, this stream has less number of students compared to other 20:10 is the student ratio. The faculties are extremely friendly and approachable. They encourage students to take up and organize technical talks every month. Students have access to the department library and digital library as well we can browse the internet and search about various projects. All the faculties hold Masters in respective subjects. Lab attendees hold a diploma in respective subjects. The assignment was given every week and assignment questions were based on previous year question paper which was very useful during exams. The exams were held during December and June. We were made to focus on important topics and made to repeat the labs most number of times. It became easy during lab practicals.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

Contriver is a startup company provided by college although the stipend was less the knowledge gained from internships helped a lot got hands on experience with IoT and projects based on IoT such as windmill turbines were also built and helped to build a better resume. The college also provides internships in companies such as BEML, cisco and various startups.

Placement Experience

4

Placement opportunities are good for other branches and for telecommunications, the placement opportunities are less. The placement strives hard for placement opportunities. Companies such as Tech Mahindra, NTT Data, HUDL, lekha wireless and software savvy visited the campus and hires most of the students. The highest package offered till now is 12 lakh package by adobe. The placement percentage is around 72%. I am planning for higher studies in artificial intelligence.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college maintained a simple and clear fee structure. The hike was around 500 to 1000 per year. It would sum up to 87000 per year excluding exam fees including it would go around 89000. Besides based on merit the students receive a scholarship from the government which sanctions around April of every year. General category students receive 18000-19000 whereas for other categories it was 22000 and for SC, ST it was 56000. Job opportunities for telecom stream are less whereas for other streams such as CS, electronics and mechanical.

Campus Life

4

'Ananya' is our college fest which happens in March every year the college hosts a series of events and other cultural activities. The representatives will invite other college students to our college for technical talks and tech events such as hackathons and coding challenges. We organize event 'vanquish' is a tech quiz and questions asked to students winners will be given certificates and cash prize. The college has collaborated with 'IEEE' so all the students have free access to journals and publications. Sports activities are organised in April and college has represented in cricket and swimming at University level. Technical talks will be delivered by industry professionals. College support 'Swachh Bharath' initiative where we form groups and clean up nearby surroundings every Sunday. Besides, college raise funds for the education of underprivileged students by organizing 'Runathon'.
