Remarks
Positives - good infrastructure, good laboratory equipment, nice teaching faculty. Clean and green surroundings which provide the study environment. Modern teaching methods used. There are so many clubs in the college for dancing, singing, drama, arts which give us immense knowledge and fun. Negatives - number of patients is less. Students are allowed only into the general hospital but not into the main hospital. Very few seats are alloted for A category.
Course Curriculum Overview
My mom always dreamt me of becoming a doctor. I wanted to serve the poor. So it is my all-time dream to become a doctor. There are around 4 professors for each subject so there is approximately 12:100 ratio of professors to students. Out of 12, 9 have done their MD in reputed colleges. Term exams are kind of tough to pass. Correction is done strictly. Case study questions are given in the exams which makes the student able to write only when he is thorough with the concept. Papers are given tougher compared to the final exams for preparation. But since all of these parts are discussed before in the class, it makes questions simpler if we attend the classes.
Placement Experience
There are no campus placements in medical colleges. I would like to write to the USMLE or Next exam for PG. There is coaching for PG exams at Apollo Medical College which has helped a lot of students. Many students in college who cracked NEET PG in 1st attempt.
Fees and Financial Aid
There is no hike in fees. It's not really costly if you get a free seat. But there are scholarships for economically backward classes and for few backward castes by the government. There is very less stipend given for interns which are approximately 8000. I haven't got any job since I'm in 1st year.
Campus Life
There is an annual fest every year in the month of April. There are tech fests in the month of September. There are so many books in the library and it is kept open till 7. There are smart boards in classrooms. There are basketball and football grounds on the campus. There are various clubs in college like dance, music, arts which are a source of immense fun.
