Remarks

This college is one of the most reputed colleges in Pune because of the results it has produced within a very short span of time. This college has got very competent and professional teaching as well as non-teaching staff. And the most important reason for choosing this college was the placement opportunities this college gives you. A lot of companies come for recruitment purposes and do recruit a lot of candidates. The admission process is basically the Centralised admission process unless you opt for a management quota. The process is fairly simple and completes within a day or two. The only problem the students complain about this college is the discipline that this college enforces into students which is indeed necessary.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I wanted to opt for computer science but due to my low score in the entrance exam I couldn't meet the merit so I took admission in the ENTC department but after completing my first year due to my good score I was able to switch to IT branch. No matter which branch you are from you will have some of the most competent and knowledgeable teachers who will definitely support you in every aspect possible. Exams are conducted at regular intervals. And the results of those exams are sent to the parents of the students and if the result is poor students are supposed to attend extra class and give the exam again which helps them improve the score.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

Yes, this college does offer a lot of internship opportunities in the major MNC so that students get good knowledge about how real-life corporates work. There have been a lot of companies that hired students for internships some of them have been:- Symantec, Josh Softwares, Persistent Systems, TIAA, Amazon, VMWare. Most of the profiles that companies hired for was related to development only. In all this college provides a lot of opportunities for working in the real corporate world.

Placement Experience

5

The placements are one of the major attention grabbers why students take admission to this college. It has got a very good record when it comes to college placements. Dr Shitalkumar Rawandale is the Head of the Placement department and is very professional about his job. Every year because of him the number of placed students has been rising steadily and will continue to rise. Due to the good academic performance and knowledge of students companies look to recruit a lot from this college.

Fees and Financial Aid

At the time I had joined the college it was not autonomous so the fees were not much and we're affordable and thanks to the EBC scholarship financially challenged students could afford to study in this college. Now that this college has become autonomous there is for sure going to be a fee hike which according to me is going to be decent enough so that students from all backgrounds could afford it.

Campus Life

4

The campus life in this college is very lively there are annual fests called swartarang conducted by the college which is truly amazing. The only problem is that there is no DJ night hence students don't get to open their hearts to dancing. There are a lot of cells in the college and all of them are very active for example:- NSS cell, Sports cell, Higher education cell, etc. The college is well equipped with all the required amenities all the books required for academics is available in the college. The only problem is with sports. Not much preference is given to the sports cell in here. A very lavish football ground is present and maintained by college authorities but students are not allowed to play on that ground it's just for show.

Interview Experience

5

No, the admission process was according to the central admission process hence there was no GD/PI interview round. In the Centralised admission process students are supposed to fill college preference form and then on the basis of their marks they are allocated the best college they could get and if they want to get admitted to that college they can confirm their seat or opt for any better college than that allocated. The college admission process is fairly simple all the staff is very supportive and all information is given about the admission process by the staff in a very detailed manner.

Placement Experience:

The college has a dedicated Training and Placement(T&P) cell and has regular recruitment drives that work to place students in companies where they will be values highly. Each year, 600-700 students are placed from all the branches. More than 300+ companies visit but the ones that hire are limited such as TCS, Capgemini, Infosys, Tech Mahindra which generally are mass recruiters that look for employees that will work for 3LPA or 4.5LPA. The highest packages go to about 30 to 40 LPA domestic and 61 LPA foreign but it is very rare to get a placement like this and requries considerable effort on the side of the student as well. Average package is 7 LPA for CS/IT branch; 5 LPA for electronics and telecommunications branch; 4 LPA for mechanical. My plan after getting the degree is working for 1-2 years while simultaneously pursuing masters.
