A good college for hardworking industry

As I was enrolled at the college through the entrance exam the admissions process was easy and quick. Only had to submit a few documents and pay an admission fee. The college has very good infrastructure and instruments and space which is needed for hotel management is well provided. It also shares its campus with MBA And BioTech .

BHMCT stands for Bachelor in Hotel Management and Catering Technology is a 4-year course of hotel management which is similar to IHM course, IHM is a 3-year course and BHMCT is a 4-year course which allows students to choose a subject for specialization. University exams are held every semester which are moderately tough but if focused during lectures are easy. Faculty of the college is well trained and well educated with everyone having atleast 7 years of experience in the hotel industry. The technique of teaching of each faculty member is different in their own way. Sometimes it is normal that you won't understand but the teachers are always ready to solve all the queries Kitchen faculty does not speak english compared to other faculties but their knowledge about the subject and skills are very high there are about 20 faculty members

In this course, the 6th semester is especially for industrial training in which students compulsorily have to work in a hotel for 5 months and gain some experience Students can work in any establishment across the country they want. If atleast 5 people are opting for the property the college will approach the hotel and if the hotel is also willing they will conduct an interview either through Skype or if possible then in person

Many of the renowned hotels from the country and a few from abroad come for placements But compared to other colleges fewer number of people are selected College does good marketing about placement but actually, only about 60% are placed through campus interviews. The Oberoi Itc Holiday inn Jw marriot Hyatt Sheraton Are the hotels which comes for interviews

College is flexible about paying fee either in 2 or 3 installments.No special scholarship is given except sc st obc and EBC which can be availed by anyone and will have to pay only half of the fee will be paid by the govt. There is no fee hike for students who enrolled in 2017 But in the year 2018 the fee was hiked to 132000 and in the year 2019 it was 150000 As far as a student' who enrolled in 2017 is concerned there is no fee hike for them

Uniform and tool kit provides by the college but is charged separately and doesn't include in a huge amount of fee. The campus of the college is very nice and the infrastructure is also good 3 basic kitchen 1 advance kitchen 1 bakery kitchen and 1 quantity kitchen are available which is more than enough for 4 practicals being conducted at a time for 4 different classes 2 F&B restaurant for FnB practicals Housekeeping labs Amphi theatre Gym Basketball court everything is available for students Every year the college food festival is conducted with a pretty good response every year . Cultural days and other occasions are also celebrated Various seminars are conducted for students and future opportunities. Sports activities and outdoor visits are carried out. The library is available which has a good collection for hotel management students
