Entrance Preview

I was apply Online by logging on to www.gjust.ac.in. and i gave Entrance Test comprising of 100 questions. My score was 78. this is a state government university and near to my home.

Internships Opportunities

Yes my college provide internship on a stipend of 6000-10000/- month. Internships provide an excellent opportunity for students to test out career interests, gain valuable experience, and connect with employers .Who may later hire them upon graduation. Internships are viewed as a proving ground for future employment in many fields and have become increasingly important for undergraduates, including students studying traditional liberal arts disciplines.

Exam Structure

In all the programmed 30% of the Maximum marks will be allocated for internal assessment in each theory paper based on two assignments (handwritten) of the 15% marks each. There will be one section of 7-10 short answer type question carrying 50% weight age of the maximum marks in the question papers.

Faculty

There are those in the academic community who dread hearing and reading about assessment. But aside from the mandatory reporting required by credentialing and accreditation agencies, how can faculty members be sure that all of the assessment activities they are required to report actually produce change and are not just more paperwork. The university where I teach is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and is on the new review cycle. As part of that initiative, members of the university assessment committee, of which I am a member, are charged with reviewing program assessment plans and reporting to the accreditation committe.

OPJGU: Not my first choice, but definitely the right one

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is highly relevant and comprehensive, according to me. The core courses that are mandatory for a student to take are highly relevant and necessary in order to develop the relevant skills and knowledge in that specific domain of the field. Electives on the other hand, are a student's choices and may or may not be relevant directly to the course one is studying. The university offers a wide range of electives and the electives are also taught by highly qualified professors across the 12 different schools of JGU. The end semester exams are either of 30 marks or 50 marks, depending on the course. Electives usually have a 30-mark end-of-semester exam for 1.5 hours. The exams are pretty easy and theoretical and contextual, unless the course one has chosen is strictly application-based and demands applications of theoretical frameworks. The core exams in the first and second year are divided across 50 and 30 mark exams and are often for 3 hours. The exams are pretty easy and theoretical except for the practicum courses, which are deeply application-based. The final year has very few core courses which are for 30 marks.

Good experience but can be better

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was influenced because I wanted to study more about how a person makes decisions, form perception and how a person's mind works . The curriculum prepares us for real world as we study about different aspects of psychology. The curriculum can be improved a little by adding a elective course in which we can get a little experience and arranging trips . The exams are not too difficult or too easy , just in perfect depth of the subject.
