Remarks
I needed a college in south Bombay because the crowd was good there but because I had a lesser score in my 12, I could not go to any other college, thus I chose Hinduja college where I applied for Sindhi quota and I got my admission. Also, I heard good things about the teachers and the college fests happening in college, and I was interested to be a part of it. The admission process was quite easy we had to submit documents like 12th mark sheet, leaving certificate of the previous college, affidavit of my caste, Aadhar card and 2 photographs. The bad thing about the college was it didn't have any campus nor any canteen of its own the canteen in front of college is not so hygienic but the food is fantastic there.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose the course because I had a zest for business and how big businessmen execute their business in the smartest way possible. There are around 200 students in a class and there are different teachers for different subjects also there are visiting faculties for some subjects. The course curriculum is very vast and properly divided into a flexible structure to cater students in the best way possible, also the teachers provide us with good case studies for us to explore how we can apply the business rules in practical scenarios and they have projectors, speaker to show interviews and short documentaries about famous business people and their point of view towards their business.
Placement Experience
There are no campus placements, for now, however, there are job fairs held each year, which is a 2 to 3-day programme for all the students who want to apply for jobs or internship which is a part of TREMOR - an academic conclave organized by the BMS department companies like Motilal Oswal Birla and many more are open for jobs and internship. These companies need young college students, so mostly if a student is eligible he will get a placement. I plan to get more and more knowledge about this field and then step into the business world.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees are around 17000-18000 per semester that is approx 36000 for an entire year and it is pretty affordable comparing to other colleges in the vicinity. They don't have any job placement through the college but there is a job fair which held every year for all the students who all want to apply for internships or jobs.
Campus Life
There is an annual fest named Panaah which is being held for the past 6 years now and there are college coming from around the city to witness the humongous fest. It is considered as one of the biggest fests in the city and it is organised by all courses of the college. There are six clubs in the college, namely Rotaract club of Hinduja college, IT cell, Gymkhana, NSS, Women's development cell, Presentation Club. The library is like a buffet of books there are books for all courses available there and those are given on weekly basis. After a week the book needs to be submitted back or there is a five rupees penalty per day. The college has a football, basketball, cricket, table tennis, carrom, and many more teams to represent the college at intercollegiate level.
