I have qualified in GATE and got admission in Hindustan University.Hindustan University is a university of engineering headquartered in Chennai, India. It was founded in 1985.
Internships Opportunities
Yes college provides the internship. For those who govern PH.D people can able to join the college, they can do the course at the same time we can do lectures attend conferences with the colleges.
Placement Experience
The placements and job opportunities was fine . Had a good number of companies usually camed. Most of the peoples get placed in MNC. Hindustan University provides an environment that fosters not only the intellectual but also the overall personality development to its students. Personality Development Workshops are organized in the University for all enrolled students with a view to equip them with the necessary soft skills required to beat the stringent selection process and emerge successfully in today's competitive world. The students are exposed to intensive training for acquiring Communication, Motivation and Leadership Skills. They gain essential inputs in goal setting and team building. They also undergo Case Study Analysis, Extempore, Group Discussion and Personal Interview Session. More than nine hundred students of pre-final and final year undergraduate and postgraduate programs are benefited from these workshops every year. The University considers training and placement as its key duties to every student who enrolls with the University.
College Events
Hindustan University Sponsored the Nobel Forum, which is part of the 30th International Conference on the Physics of Semi Conductors (ICPS - 2010), that was held from July 25th - 30th, 2010, COEX, Seoul, Korea. Dr. Anand Jacob Verghese, Pro Chancellor, Hindustan University, attended the event and honored the Nobel Prize Winners.
Fees and Financial Aid
Loan Facility is offered by our college. SC / ST Scholarship Government of India those candidates, who are Indian citizens belonging to Tamilnadu and who have passed the School leaving examination, namely Higher Secondary / Indian School Certificate etc, are eligible for this scholarship the income of the parents should not exceed Rs. 100000/- per annum the scholarship is renewable from year to year within the stages of education the candidates should not be in receipt of another scholarship / assistance from other sources.
Campus Life
Gender ratios, Student/Dorm Parties, workshops, cultural societies or Student diversity and tolerance with regards to gender, ethnicity, race, religion, sexual orientation, politics and economic status is too good . There is no discrimination in in gender and diversities.
Hostel Facilities
Hindustan University has separate hostels for boys and girls with well furnished rooms and modern amenities. The overall atmosphere is very conducive for the students to concentrate on studies. The hostels have well-furnished air-conditioned and regular rooms with attached rest rooms providing the right ambience for the students. State- of – the- art kitchen and spacious dining area has been provided for both the hostels and a customised menu caters to the student’s needs. Hygiene and cleanliness is emphasised in the hostel. All the hostels offer a variety of services and opportunities for students. Staff members residing in the hostel are assigned to address academic and personal problems of the students. Round-the-clock security, communication, dispensary facilities are also available.
Admission
I do have gone through the selection criteria.The campus is situated in the south eastern suburb of Chennai, Padur. They asked me to send the educational certificates and will inform if get shortlised. Also have personal round with HOD. As I am GATE qualified they told me that I will get a stipend of 8000.
Faculty
The faculty of my college is too good. Mainly the college having the main department as Aeronautical Engineering. Over all people from different parts of the country camed to get education from this college. I studied in the computer science department were our HOD plays a keen role in the education of the students. Mainly events, conferences.
