HNB university has two campuses for masters in law course namely: Tehri and Pauri. There are 40 seats in total. 20 for each campus. There's an entrance exam conducted each year in August month, which consists of 100 marks question paper of law entirely with no negative marking. After clearing this entrance, you get to choose your preferred campus (in priority of rank obviously) The classes start in September generally. I chose this college as it provides a two years course, so I become eligible for professor job too which isn't possible in one year LLM courses that are only available in Dehradun (my home city) Also, I get to visit home weekly, as Doon is just three hours away from Tehri. It is a two years course with 4 semesters. Two years course makes one eligible to become a professor. We have 6 subjects per semester, with a special focus on class presentations. We are 20 students and we have 8 teachers to teach us. Out of which are two professors, three assistant professors and three phd scholars. They all are helpful, knowledgeable and cooperative. There are two internal exams and one external each semester. Exam level is moderate.

There's no such thing as campus placement here. But teachers really help us getting knowledge of competitive exams and point out them while teaching. Some teachers teach very career-oriented. I've more inclination towards the judiciary and still preparing but in 3rd sem. Of LLM I've cracked NET with the help of my teachers' guidance.

Per year fees are around 24000 rupees in the first year and 22000 in the second year that makes it 46000-50000 in total, which is little costly for a government college. It is a self-financed course in HNB. There's no scholarship programme or financial assistance policy as such.

There's a talent fest conducted each year in SRT In December month. Conferences and seminars are conducted every now and then. There's a spacious auditorium. There are special presentation rooms and a nice moot court. There is a gym also. The library is also well equipped. All important authors' subject books are available. The reading room is also there.

There are a boys hostel and a girls hostel in the campus. 5000 is room rent and 90 rs. For one day meal. Which makes it around 24000 a year (taking 4 months of food a semester. ) Boys have two, three, four persons shared room. But girls have only four persons shared set room. (which I feel is a big problem.) You get a bed, a study table, a chair, a cabinet, own lamp above bed, Meals are great. And totally worth 90 Rs. a day. But the bathrooms are really bad.
