Remarks

Highly recommended, highly competitive, very good option in that region.

Entrance Preview

Appreared in UPCPMT2006, got good rank and chosen SIET, Gangoh through Counselling at Lucknow in the year 2006.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I opted for B.Tech(Compute Science & Engineering), and the course was as per Uttar Pradesh Technical University then, now it is called as Gautam Buddha Technical University. I think course was quite competitive, not less than IIT's syllabus by any standards.

Internships Opportunities

Yes, they do provide internship but for that candidate has to go through a tough scanner. SIET never compromises on the quality of services they provide. Each and every intern candidate is well screened by the concerned before coming on board.

Placement Experience

4

The kind of tie-ups and Management contacts what SIET possess, Placements & Job opportunities are like cup cake for them. Off course the quality of education matters that helps in shaping an individual to be a fit for professional organizations. SIET has tie-ups with various MNC's and the list is growing year by year.

College Events

4.5

Cultural events, semester activities, yearly activities were quite frequent at SIET. Each and every event there is organized by professional to make sure that students learn while play. Games were also a part of these curriculum for the all-round development of student.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure was quite nominal as per the facilities and the quality of education provided. It was feasible and for the people who could not afford, there is provision for scholarship sponsored by State Government. Authorities takes utmost care in processing these scholarships for students.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes, Scholarship is there, and I availed all four years under OBC quota. Process was quite smooth and I dint have to strain self for the scholarships, everything was beautifully managed by authorities and accounts team there.

Campus Life

4.5

Campus life is perfect at SIET, gender ratio is well maintained, as seats are getting filled through counselling, college don't have much to intervene in gender. Extracurricular activities, labs, sports, competitions such as robotics, debates are a very serious business there to shape up student to a complete professional.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Hostel facility is separate for Boys and Girls, same is for mess. Campus is quite spacious with all the equipment available for extra curricular activities. Food served was awesome all four years during my tenure, never heard any complaint from a single student. Staff as well was quite co-operative.

Alumni/Alumna

Apart from sincere introductions there is no ragging, and all senior students are quite helpful when it comes to support their juniors.

Exam Structure

Exams & Labs again were as per UPTU syllabus. Three sessionals in a semester and final exam at the end followed by practical exams. Yes, education cant be fun, it was competitive but at the same time it was joyful, not hectic at all. Everyday I felt contented after College hours.

Admission

Admission process was quite smooth, I had to report to college after 3 days once I got a seat in Counselling. I was delighted with the behavior of staff at the time of admission. I dint waited much, dint stand in long queues, everything was completed within few minutes. I was impressed by the Management at that time itself.

Faculty

5

Faculty was the most wonderful thing at SIET that I experienced. They were more a kind of friends, always supportive, hardworking individuals. They taught selflessly with full devotion. They were wonderful human as well, I certainly miss them sometimes. Wish we all can work in a collaborative environment all our life, but you get it only for 4 years, that's the beauty of it.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is well structured and keep up with the evolving trends of industry. It balance Theoretical and knowledge and practical application, helping students build a strong foundation in core subjects like programming mathematics and engineering fundamentals. The curriculum Includ Laboratory session Projects and tutorials that enhance understanding beyond the textbooks It also allows students to choose elective in later semester which adds flexibility and depth to learn. In terms of revevance, most subjects are designed to align with current industry requirements especially in field like computer science and electronics the inclusion of emerging technologies such as ai data science and web development makes it quite comprehensive. However a few areas could be improved such as integrating more industry based project and updating some older Syllabus to match modern tools and frameworks. Overall the curriculum is relevant ,comprehensive and career-oriented providing a solid base for both higher studies and professional development.

Reviewed on Mar 10, 2025(Enrolled 2024)

Course Curriculum Overview:

This criteria for choosing the college was because of placements. The curriculum Is outdated and not as per the industry requirements. In 1st year we are taught only one language and which is of no use.... That is C. But in other universities, students are taught languages like java, C++, python in their 1st year. Teachers are good. I have no issues with them but I have issues with its curriculum. Exam are taken so much which are according to me good as they prepare as for university exams but as I consider placement point of view so students do not have enough time to prepare for their placements, learning new skills as we are supposed to study for exams otherwise we will have to attend extra exams and classes and will lose internal marks. So having many exams have both benefits and drawbacks.
