Remarks

Firstly I loved the location where the college is situated. It??s on the foothills of the Himalayas and a really scenic location. I feel you where your mind is, really affects how you perform. Both my heart and mind were in love with this place and they haven??t been in symphony with each other ever before so in no way was I turning down this college. Other factors were the faculty, which is really experienced and helpful. Then I??d gone through reviews about the college which showed me only the positive things emanating from everyone and also the college rankings. These cumulative factors helped me come to a penultimate conclusion about choosing this college.

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum is at par with the top B-schools and has a very practical based approach. We solve case studies which enhances our real world problem solving skills. We also have a fest which is filled with management activities which help us hone the leader within us.

Placement Experience

Job opportunity is fairly good with new companies and startups coming to campus with job openings. Companies from banking sector, IT, Marketing come to the college.

College Events

Campus life is great with an annual fest every year(Manfest) which has mostly management activities. Other colleges participate as well for the talent rounds. Other than that we have a celebrity coming every year for the guest performance. During festivals we have Dandiya night(during Navaratri), Dahi handi(for janmashtami), and holi celebrations in campus. We also have a sports fest every year(DBS Premier League) with various sports activities being carried out throughout a span of 3days with participants from various colleges. We believe in the principle of ???Work hard play hard.??

Campus Life

The campus has modern infrastructure with all required amenities. It boasts three canteens, an ampitheater, an auditorium for programmes, a conference room for guest lectures. There are two libraries which students have access to for their studies(reference books) as well as for leisure reading or news reading. There are two girls hostels with mess built in and a boys hostel with a mess on campus.

The faculty members are approachable, experienced, and provide regular mentorship along with particular case based learning

Course Curriculum Overview:

the cousse curriculum is well structured and cover both foundational theories and practical concept. which was key reason for choosing this program. it provides a solid acedemic base for higher studies and includes case studies and group projects that help bridge the gap toward real world application. however there is still room for improvement in increasing hands on in increasing hand on industry explosure moder tool integreation and practical workshop rather than leaning primarily on conventional textbook learning

The cafeteria is now wide and also breathable as they worked on infra
There faculties are knowledgable and also cooperative

The washroom area should be more good and hygiene

My honest review of MBPG College

Likes

Being a government college the fees are very low and student friendly most teachers are knowledgeable supportive and clear in explanation focus on studies exam and all over all discipline
Open ground greenery and enough space to relax between classes decent collection of academic books and difference material
Easy to reach from different part of Haldwani lesson unnecessary pressure more focus on its education

Dislikes

Infrastructure is old type som building needs to get repair
Campus placement opportunity are very few from classroom slabs and building need renovation
Not many model amenties compared to private colleges office works can be slow

The curriculum follows kumaun University guidelines ensure standardization and recognition core subjects are well structured and concept curriculum should a include more practical exposure projects work and field work examination are conducted semester wise and generally twice year internal assessments include test assignments and practicals during the semester

Likes

Social life is good with feat happening around in college.
Wifi is provided in our building and the hostel.
Infrastructure of our new hostel and our labs is good

Dislikes

Teachers are qualified but the quality education is not good
Too much restriction on girls but boys are free to roam at night.
Mess food is just acceptable not that good.

Placement Experience:

For campus placement students need to be atleast in last or second last semester of the course. But for internship it's fine even if student is in 1st or 2nd yr. But most of teh students here decided to pursue master from here only and I still don't know have exact idea hown many students got placed in th companies.

Likes

I like the college curriculum and study materials and teaching style of the teachers . Some teachers are impressive and their teaching style is too good .
Campus life is not much engaging but we usually spent our time in studying only . Also for attendance there is not much more criteria but some teachers are very strict in taking the attendance.
Faculties are full of experience and knowledge. They are approachable online and offline too but after the class.

Dislikes

I don't like the placement system in my college because the students studying in 2nd year do not get any exposure of placement . There is placement cell in our college but not very active .
Infrastructure is good but it should be spread in a more big acres . My wish was to get into IIT Kharagpur that's why I am asking for big campus .
Overall curriculum and research based approach of the campus is good. They just give projects to the seniors and seniors work is to dictate us about the project and helps us in building different types of project.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The main aspects that motivates me to choose this college is the GFTI'S colleges . Because my father suggest me that govt. Colleges seeks more companies that's why I choose this college . But truth is totally opposite from the reality. Real world application based projects is just given by the teachers in every semester but we students copy it and give it to them from the gpt. College timing should be more less we have to study from 10 am to 5 p.m. Timings of exams are of 3 hrs only in semester . Difficulty level is moderate.

The faculty here is very helpful and they teach only realvent things about your course and they also provide you day to day notes and assingmemts for your daily prep

Dislikes

There is no such things that i did not like in this collage but if i have to say something i will go with the canteen service is very bad and not very friendly

Course Curriculum Overview:

On expericing day to day people and theirs pain in the muscle and joints . This made me decide why i should choose this course . The area which they need for improvement is if they give more attetion to some sports that will be very greatful for the students so that they can have some fun other study and stress. The timing of the collage is 9 to 5 and if you have any exam or practicals only then they call you on specific time and regular classes are off on that day duration of the exam is 1.5 hours

My experience so far at DBS

I have applied to UPES as well but after I saw it's fees I opted out myself, it was not because I couldn't afford it but the curriculum there was not good at all and their placements are not satisfactory considering the fees they are charging. DBS: Best Business School of Uttarakhand

I gave exams for a plethora of colleges out of which i was selected for more than five of them including DBS. However i went with DBS as for the bachelor's course the fees was reasonable, the placement opportunities were satisfactory and above all it is a business school afterall which gives it all the more points if one is interested in the management course. There are many go abroad choices for the students as well. The admission process is quite simple there will be an interview and you are done. I choose this college over other because in uttarakhand DBS Global University is pretty famous. That is the reason i choose this university but later i regretted for choosig DBS Global University. There is no eligibility criteria they just need money and they give admissions to anybody who applies to their portal. "What I wish I knew before admission"

So basically I did my graduation from dehradun city and I am from non commerce background where I was confused about choosing this course for me. So for some months I studied for entrance exams for mba but study was not consistent and I left studying for it in between, so later I decided to pursue mba from dehradun itself and the first few options were UPES , IMS and DBS, so first I applied for IMS College and my admission got confirmed there fees was approx half of my current college, and I did not apply for UPES because it was too expensive and I wanted to take education loan, and it would not be possible to get huge amount of education loan. so for DBS I read many reviews and watched YouTube videos online through I understood that this college does provide placement opportunities and vast learning experience, so I decided to go for this one as IMS College did not have good reputation in terms of placement. and I also have one schoolmate pursuing mba from the DBS college sp I interacted with him before joining college. So admission process in our college includes interview and essay writing test for those students who have not given any entrance exam. So I appeared for the online interview which took around 25 to 30 minutes to complete and then followed with essay writing test, which I had to submit to the online portal,then after 1 or 2 days I received mail from college for the selection hence I got the admission. Talking about the experience of admission it was smooth and professional when it was online but when it comes to offline on the registration day and later when I wanted information and help regarding day 1, it was bad experience. And also on day 1 there was no smooth process of verification of documents and registration, as account department there is really bad and they don't respond to students properly.
