Remarks

After completing my twelfth my aim was get a job in Engineering field. Since i was not interested in studying outside kerala, i was in search of an Engineering college in kerala. And at last my search ended up with Vimal Jyothi Engineering College which was located in kannur itself and was near to my home.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course syllabus was not much updated up to the mark. Syllabus was more concentrated about old technologies and less importance was given to new technologies or current trends in engineering field. But the lab facilities available in the college are excellent compared to other colleges in the district. We used to do industrial visits and attend internships every year which helped us a lot in gaining knowledge about the real world. Almost all the faculties were very much supportive in every means. Some of the best facilities of our dept are Mr. Dhanoj, Dr V sampath Kumar, Dr Glan G Devadas, Ms. Divya, Mr Shinju MM.

Course Fees: INR 75000 per year

Placement Experience

Most of the companies visited were related to IT jobs. Students have been places in companies like Infosys, TCS, WIPRO,CTS etc.

College Events

The management gave more importance to tech fest's rather than Culture programmes. Around 1.5 Lakhs is allotted every year for conducting Tech fest's.Only one days will be allotted for techfest, cultural day and sports.

Fees and Financial Aid

Students under SC/ST doesn't need to pay tuition fees. And 3 students under OBC can apply for OBC scholarship. And they also doesn't need to pay tuition fees.

Campus Life

Lab facilities are excellent with most modern equipments and technologies. Every department has about 3 separate labs. Also we have a huge library block which also have digital library. Wi-Fi speeds are good, We will get up to 5- 6 mbps. Sports facilities are decent.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facilities are good. We have 2 three storied building for engineering students and and another 3three storied building for Staffs and MBA students with more than 240 rooms in total. Rooms are in sharing basis with 4 members. Bed, shelf and study table are provided. Rent includes 18000 yearly + mess bill which will be around 3000 each month.

Hostel Fee: INR 45000 per year

Academic Journey

Placement Experience:

Placement oppertunities are often given during 4th year of our course. Average package is around 3Lakhs per year. Students getting placements are often high but most of the reject the offer for higher studies inorder to get a higher package.

College Feels Like Home

Placement Experience:

The placement department in our college is great and is always trying to bring good companies to the college. The placement training starts from semester 7. Our top recruiter include Infosys, TCS, Wipro, NocoBD, Delloite, etc. and our mechanical, civil, EEE,ECE all got placements with avg of 4lpa.The highest package where 12 Lpa for SAP. My plans is to get a good job and lead a stable life.

Companies like Oracle, Goldman Sachs, L&T, Bajaj, Caterpillar and PSU's like BEL,HPCL and BPCL come to the college usually the coding companies offer aroung 35-40 LPA CTC and the core PSU companies offer around 17-18 LPA. Highest Package is 51 LPA and an Average Package of 12 LPA. My honest review of ICET

Placement Experience:

The students are eligible for attending campus placement from semester 7. Some companies that visits ICET are Utc global, Layland, DeltaX, etc. The average package given by the companies are 3 lpa. The percentage of students getting placed are around 40%. I plan to placed at any company.

I had applied for this course in several colleges in banglore and other places. The reason which hold me here is the course affordability and good infrastructure provided by this college. This college offers BTech artificial intelligence and Data Science at the rate of 98500 per year as tution fees while other colleges offer this same course around 200000 tution fee per year which is a better reason for studying this college. The college also provide scholarships for students on the basis of their plus two marks and keam ranks which will cover their entire tuition fee which helps the students to study in a cost effective way and also increase the quality of education.
