Good patient inflow thus interns get great hands-on exposure to clinical cases. 6. Anatomy dissection hall has adequate number of cadavers for better understanding of the subject. 7. Auditorium conducts many workshops & provides various opportunities for students. 8. cafeteria and hostel food is hygienic, tasty and provides varieties of cuisine.
Course Curriculum Overview
Yes. updated curriculum and excellent professors and non-teaching staff. Enough industrial exposure is provided. In 2nd year we are taken to various rural areas, public healthcare centres and anganwadis for community medicine teaching. Added to this, forensic medicine faculty also takes us for live postmortem experience for better understanding of the subject. My favourite faculty members are: first year- Dr. Peter sir(anatomy), Dr. Suhas sir and kamalchand sir (physiology) second year- Dr. Sameer sir(pharma), Dr. Mahender reddy sir( forensic), Dr. Guruprasad sir ( microbiology and ICMR enthusiast)
Placement Experience
After the internship, Mbbs doctors completing graduation from this esteemed medical college having good hands-on experience have a boosted CV and greater chances for jobs across hospitals. Students can choose to study further for PG in this college and can become faculty member for the reputed college. Every year more than 75 students apply for ICMR-ST scholarship and 1-2 are selected. physiology faculty member has ben selected to teach at AIIMS.
College Events
Every year freshers is organised for the newly joined batch. 5 day fests are hold which is a fun experience.It includes various sports, art and craft, elocutions and many other creative competitions. Many workshops are held throughout the year which is a great learning experience.
Campus Life
1. Lecture theatres,Demonstration Rooms, Common Rooms available. 2. Library: There is a central Library completely air conditioned.The Library has UG, PG / Residents and Staff Sections. There is Journal room, Digital Library with net connection and a separate Xerox and binding rooms. separate outside reading rooms are also available. 3. Skill lab : The Skill lab is equipped with Mannequins for Demonstration of Clinical Examination, Procedures like Intravenous injections, basic life support skills etc. 4.Computer Lab: Located in the Central Library with internet facility. The Computer Lab is air conditioned. 5. The Indoor Facilities provided are ??? Table tennis, Chess, Caroms & Shuttle. There is separate Gymnasium provided with few equipments.
Hostel Facilities
There is a hostel for Students and Residents separately for Men and Women with Single room or double sharing available as per requirement. Clean and spacious rooms with 2-3 wardens to help in need. Hygienic washrooms and proper sanitation is followed. The mess facility is available for the students and residents. Lenient hostel rules and food is served thrice a day. There is a separate Cafeteria for the students and staff with in the campus.
