Remarks

This is pretty famous in the Uttarakhand. It's a government college. It's near the Tehri dam (THDC project). So THDC itself can provide job opportunities. And the civil engineering is first preference for them as it's related to designing these dams.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course is related to designing bridge,dams etc. It's more about the government sector. The course is decided by UTU Uttarakhand technical university. The faculty is good they emphasize more on practical knowledge. Himanshu nautiyal sir is good at its unique way if teaching.

There are many job opportunities in the civil engineering more in government sector. THDC also need civil engineers. The average package of the most the students is 7-8 lakhs.

The campus life is boring sometimes. There are many sports events in the college. Most of the free time is spend in sports. The hostel facility is good and pg facilities is also available.there are many state level workshops organised by the college. There are many events organised like annual sports,annual cultural,tehri fest.

A well rounded experience at GEHU dehradun .

Placement Experience:

At GEHU, placement eligibility starts from the 6th semester. companies like TCS, Wipro, Infosys and Amazon visit the campus. The highest package offered is around 35LPA and the average is 4-6LPA. About 70-80% of students get placed , mainly in IT and management roles. After completing my degree I plan to work in the industry and later pursue higher studies.

Placement Experience:

Placement are fine I won't say good for our course most of students prefer for higher students so the placement percentage will be 50- 60 . Student are eligible in their last for placement . Placement are provided by college but if you want off campus it's the students choice . The companies are :- United bioceuticals, ALPS , graphic era hospital etc.

Placement Experience:

Infy, Techno India, Brumha and many as techies are required all over. From a watchmaker to salt maker without a techie a business can't grow big. So, even though there are 500+ CSE students still 75 percent or so get placed easily from our campus.

I took admission in Covid year, 2020.So all of colleges had delayed the admission procedure, but THDC was admitting on basis of 12th marks before even JEE mains was completed. I had not much prep for Jee, so I took admission in THDC as it was in my home district. Now the admission process is entirely online.
