Remarks

This is a government college. It's the second choice of jee students among the different colleges in Uttarakhand. It's near the THDC project so can get offer of job from the project. This course mechanical engineering is all related to physics and maths in which I had a keen interest.

Course Curriculum Overview

This College is under UTU ( Uttarakhand technical university) so course curriculum is according to it. There are 4 exams in a semester. 2 lab exam and 2 theory exams. This course is related to machines,working models. Faculty does not let us free they devote all the time for teaching. One of the faculty is Himanshu nautiyal who teaches in a very interesting way.

Course Fees: INR 72000 per year

The college take care of placements and jobs. The companies come frequently. The average package is about 7-8 lakhs. Recently subham nautiyal got a package of 8 lakh. There are several alumini meets organised by college.

The campus life is enjoyable. The schedule of classes is tight. The campus is near tehri lake.hostel infrastructure is good. There are many extra curricular activities organised by college. There are many work shops on robotics,machinery. There are many fests organised like tehri fest, college fest.

A well rounded experience at GEHU dehradun .

Placement Experience:

At GEHU, placement eligibility starts from the 6th semester. companies like TCS, Wipro, Infosys and Amazon visit the campus. The highest package offered is around 35LPA and the average is 4-6LPA. About 70-80% of students get placed , mainly in IT and management roles. After completing my degree I plan to work in the industry and later pursue higher studies.

Placement Experience:

Placement are fine I won't say good for our course most of students prefer for higher students so the placement percentage will be 50- 60 . Student are eligible in their last for placement . Placement are provided by college but if you want off campus it's the students choice . The companies are :- United bioceuticals, ALPS , graphic era hospital etc.

Placement Experience:

Infy, Techno India, Brumha and many as techies are required all over. From a watchmaker to salt maker without a techie a business can't grow big. So, even though there are 500+ CSE students still 75 percent or so get placed easily from our campus.

Good place and college. Bad Admin and Faculty

I took admission in Covid year, 2020.So all of colleges had delayed the admission procedure, but THDC was admitting on basis of 12th marks before even JEE mains was completed. I had not much prep for Jee, so I took admission in THDC as it was in my home district. Now the admission process is entirely online.
