Remarks

1. Professional course 2. College is 20 km to chandigarh and the institute is run by ex retired army official. 3. The admission depends on neet exam scores. The college curriculum is strict and disciplined

Course Curriculum Overview

The faculty was experienced and strict. The curriculum runs strictly according to dental council of india and was uptodate. The practical exposure was not much. Overall the college environment was competitive, stressful, lots of work and studies.

Placement Experience

0.5

There is no placement provided. As it is a dental college. Alumni network is also not good. Students struggles a lot post completion of bds to stabilize career.

College Events

0.5

One huge event occur Freshers meet every year.some small events are Also organized rangoli, poster, skit, sports meet also happens. Mostly seminars and studies are major highlight of campus life in NDC.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarships are provide to brilliant students who have secured good marks in 12 th exam and have good neet ranking.

Campus Life

The campus is surrounded by derabassi village and trees away from main road. The college has wifi facility. Lab are well equipped for dental studies. Library is equipped with books only related to dental books. Sports facilities are not adequate.

Hostel Facilities

Airconditioned hostel room, pathetic food, costly room 1 lakh to 1.5 lakh room charges per student. They don't provide single rooms. Sharing of 2 or 3 students per room. After every 6 to 8 months, our hostel incharge used to get changed. Very bad option for females to choose hostel as the rules were strict and the hostel environment is toxic and disturbing. If you are taking admission in NDC, avoid joining hostel. There is constant electricity problem in hostel during summer.

Exam are held mid and the end semester with modern difficulty. More hands on experience and updated technoilogies would enhance overall effectiviness and career prepartions.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum needs to focus on what you can do with information rather than the information itself. I wouldn’t eliminate content, without background we cannot form good, rational, and educated conclusions. We are still giving timed tests in math facts! I know that’s traditional, but it just isn’t as important. My era had no calculators and we needed to be proficient at paper and pencil solutions, but now, perfect calculations are available to everyone. We should focus on what kinds of problems can be solved with mathematics. Spelling is equally less important. Vocabulary should be stressed. My sister years ago was taking a test for a personal assistant position where she was asked to type a large number of words per minute error free. She was laughing at such a test. She said no one does that anymore, they just type then run spell check. Technology is changing our NEEDS opinion is that curriculum should reflect our reality. No one gets paid to solve problems that have already been solved. Students should be exposed to solving problems they have not seen before but that can be solve with the content they have learned in class. This will help them develop problem solving strategies they will be able to use the rest of their lives
