Remarks
I got my college in second allotment of KEAM exam. One of my cousins was a student in the college at the time of my admission. I opted civil engineering because i am interested in influencing the lives of civilans directly.
Course Curriculum Overview
Our course syllabus consists of most of the theoretical knowledge a civil engineer should acquire during their college days. we have industrial visits once every year. But we were only able to go twice in four years. The faculties are graduates from top NITs and most of them are highly helpful.
Placement Experience
The placement department provides us with aptitude classes and informs us about the job opportunities available. But civil oriented companies are very less which come for placements.
College Events
We have tech fest, arts day, sports day and onam celebration in our college. Apart from sports all other events have a very big number of participation from every branch. Tech fest is separate for every branch. Activity points are given to the students if they get a position(top3) in the competition.
Fees and Financial Aid
OBC-NCL scholarship pays the total college fees but the students have to pay the special fees themselves. the students also get a small amount as stipend every month.
Campus Life
There are enough equipment's in the lab but some of them have been not repaired. we have wi-fi facilities in our college and the size of the library is also satisfiable. sports facilities is given to only those who are already good in some sports. They also go to inter college sports competitions.
Hostel Facilities
yes, i have opted hostel. The hostel rooms have enough space for the students. All students have their individual bed, table, chair. The rooms need to be shared with 4-5 other students. There is no scarcity of hostel rooms.
