Remarks

I chose SRM because of it's renowned international affiliations, student-driven clubs and research labs, and inter-cultural festivals. It has a huge campus with various colleges from health sciences to architecture with a business school. It has amazing Semester Abroad Programs fro students and a stellar support of scholarship. Although being a private school, the research opportunities and support for personal skills was at par with government-run institutions.

Course Curriculum Overview

The faculties are very patienced persons. They teach us so many times. They will explain practically. They will take us to industrial toor according to your respective course. The principal, management, teaching and non teaching staff, all are very nice and very patienc. My fav teacher is poorna Lakshmi, and Vijaya Lakshmi teachers.

Fees and Financial Aid

Merit-based Scholarship. It is awarded to students who holds a department rank each year, ranging from 56,000-16,000/- according to your rank. It is an automatic scholarship, and no extra application is required for this.

Hostel Facilities

I stayed in hostel in my freshman and sophomore year. The hostel comes with a choice of two and three sharing rooms. You're also given an option of personal and communal bathrooms. Along with this you can opt for AC and non-AC rooms. There is also a flat type accomodation available on campus with three rooms and a communal hall. Although there's a kitchen, you're not allowed to cook.Anytime of electrical hardware like induction, toasters and coffee machines are not allowed. There's clean water available on each floor and cleaning services are also provided once a day. You can also opt for the laundry service.The infrastructure is decent. You get your own cot and mattress, along with a vanity, study desk and a huge cupboard with a shared bathroom.

One of the southern indian most famous chemical company is there in our circle and other chemicals companies are there. other then this reason I like the chemistry subject and exciting to learn. In our chemistry department teacher give good preparation for the semester exams. My point of view the exams are easy to write excepting only few subjects.

Is VIT worth it

Placement Experience:

Placements in VIT UNIVERSITY is very good the average package is 8 lakhs and the Highest may go upto 1 crore every year.There is a separate placement cell in VIT chennai and they give you placement training from start of the third year. Many multinational companies like google, microsoft etc comes to VIT to pick students for their company. Almost 98 percent of the students gets places in VIT. After my degree I choose to sit for placements.

I applied at PDEU, Gandhinagar and SRMIST and both colleges admissions were almost done but since my family is from Chennai, we al decided to stay close to home atleast for UG.
