Remarks

It's a very well known college in and around and I'm an alumni of the same institute where I was a pre university student. And It was easy for me reach the college as it wasn't very far. Lecturers are very well experienced and skilled. They're dedicated towards educating students and pave way to reach for the sky.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course isn't updated to the recent times. We were provided enough knowledge about everything. The faculties were quite warm and welcoming when it came to syllabus. They are all experienced and skilled.

Placement Experience

2.5

We had a couple of companies come to our college for campus drives,A lot of them where IT companies and It companies who were keen in the Financial sector . It was decent . The alumni association and the network is really amazing.

College Events

4.5

We loved all the extra curricular activities. We were always pushed to engage in all sirt of stuffs. We used to participate in all NSS activities. Cultural fests were decent but students enjoyed thoroughly. We used to have Inter College Festa,Which used to every students favourite event where we get to Team up and Coordinate the event ourselves. All the work involved a lot of fun,Where we learned Team Work, Helping Each Other, Coming up with New Ideas,Engaging with other college students and getting them to participate in the events,Money Management and everything. It was a great experience. One of the best times anyone could possibly ask for.

Fees and Financial Aid

I haven't availed any scholarship ,I'm a general merit student. But a lot of people used to get scholarship according to their scores . Student loan would be provided by all the banks for undergraduate students. All they had to do was to get the necessary documents from college and do everything according to the bank process and they'd be sanctioned their loan.

Campus Life

Library was one good facility. The cafeteria isn't that great,Our classes were well ventilated and spacious. Sports facilities were quite decent . Computer labs were really top notch. We enjoyed our Lab sessions. Teachers were really easy going and taught us everything in a understandable manner.

Hostel Facilities

A lot of students who were from other state and cities around would opt for hostel. The hostel rooms were decent . They used to have huge dorms . Where people could share, Our college hostel was only for girls, The hostel seats were for a good number.

Placement Experience:

Last year due to recession the placements were low comparatively. From semester 7 onwards we are eligible for campus placements. I do not exactly have the correct statistics, but all the students who tried outside got the jobs easily. Highest package 32 lacks and least goes upto 3 lacks per annum. Last yearpercentage of students placed is 66 and before that it was more than 90 My plan is to get a good job, after the degree and if I cannot get a good job then I will go for higher studies abroad.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is not at all relevant, they are still teaching us subjects like c and electronics. For eg - in our 4th semester we have vb.net as our programming language which is very outdated langauge. There were also two language subjects - general English and additional language (hindi,English, kannada) which I think is kind of useless to learn two language in BCA.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements by the start of the 7th semester, and the internships by the 5th semester. Since Mangalore has many MNCs, most of the campus drives start with those companies. We have an average package of 18LPA and it varies according to each branch of engineering. Mostly all the computer science-related branches have 23LPA as their average and the core branches have 14LPA. Almost 95 per cent of the students get placed. The highest package has even crossed 50LPA.
