Course Curriculum Overview
This course follows the semester system. The course is for three years. The college is under Kerala University. This course provide the students a hands on experience. They are trained by renowned profeesors and we'll established celebrities under this profeesion. The college conducts literature fests. And the students are also taken to international and national film and book festivals.
Placement Experience
Many MNCs come to our college for placement drives. To mention companies like UST Global, Cognizant, Tata Elxsy, Alliance, Byju's Learning App etc.come to our college looking for the post of content writers, editors, proof reading.
College Events
Our college host gamut of event. The new academic year starts with the Fresher's day, where they conduct various programs like personality contests, which are judged by proficients in those discipilinaries. Then follows the college election and the Arts Club inauguration then onam celebration, Christmas celebration. Arts festival, Youthfestival, College day. Then our college conduct different inter and intra College Literature and technical fests.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fees is very less. Monthly fees is Rs 3000, for this course. You can pay by cash or in cheques or online payment. You only have to pay just the tution fees to secure the admission. Other than that you have to pay Rs 100 for PTA and then Rs 400 exam fees for each semester.
Fees and Financial Aid
I have not applied for any scholarship or taken any education loan. But the college do provide stipend and scholarships for the financially backward category.
Campus Life
Our college is a Women's College. It is an women empowering college. Every event in college is organised by the girls. They have proven that they can do everything perfectly like other mixed colleges. The college is not very strict. They give freedom to their students.
Hostel Facilities
No. This College does not have a hostel within the college campus. But they do provide Govt Hostels very near to the college. Private hostels are also available near the college. Since the college is in the heart of the city, it is easy to get a hostel nearby.
Alumni/Alumna
Seniors are very helpful. They help us by providing their study materials and clearing our doubts on anything. They do not treat us like juniors. For them we are like their friends. There is no ragging in our campus.
Admission
I got admission to this college by Kerala University based on my marks. The main reason I chose this college and course is because, this college has an A grade given by the NAAC. And it is the only college in Kerala which has an English Honours Course. In addition the honours syllabus was so interesting. We learnt American, European, Canadian, British, African and Indian Literature. The syllabus also included Dalit Literature, theatre Studies and Cinema.
Faculty
I have never seen such a bunch of friendly and wise teachers like them in my life. I still hold a good relationship with all my teachers from the college. There are about 30 teachers allocated for this course. All the teachers hold PhD. The teachers will make us fall in love with the subjects through their teaching.
