Remarks

Conclusion: College is ok, not good in academics due to outdated academic content. Other facilities required by students are good enough during the entire stay of the college. Its been 7 years since the first batch is out in the market but still they haven't been able to get good placements for the current students. Please join this college only if you dont have any other option in your hand as there are more options available even nearby.

Entrance Preview

I gave MAT as a test in Feb 2007 and scored 95 percentile. They took me basis this score.I was suppose to go to Amity University and that is why didnt filled up any form for any other college and finally ended up with no college and when thought of not wasting a year for a degree then just chose whatever came in front. I was in the founder batch of the college for MBA course.

Course Curriculum Overview

1.5

The course structure was very ordinary based on the course curriculum of PTU which was very outdated and doesn't have any scope of learning experience as well as no special attention was given on even improvising it.There were the basic 3 Electives: - Marketing- Finance- HR and they all run in combination, thus giving no experiential learning. Thus everyone has to learn own their own.

Internships Opportunities

No. When it comes to Engineering, they were good at internships and placements but they were not able to provide or help management students for the same. Thus the students have to arrange it by themselves.I got selected for Vodafone for Core marketing internship and was paid a stipend of Rs. 8000 per month for two months + Reimbursements for all travel and other expenses. Experience with Internship was awesome.

Placement Experience

1

Placement is very bad for MBA department, generally people try for going to companies directly and get a job but it is fine for Engineering department.

College Events

1.5

Techkriti, National Paper Presentation, Annual Sports Fest, Annual foundation day, Annual Day Events. All the events listed above are happening for the sake of happening. They are not upto the mark when compared to other colleges in the region. The college is very much biased for its students and dont do fair deal in terms of results fro the competition.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees is one of the important factors now a days considering the fact that institutes are charging really high amount for courses offered. Comparing to nearby colleges, the fees of DAVIET is less and very affordable. It is feasible for students to afford this college at this range.

Fees and Financial Aid

No such facility of loans are given by the college, but yes scholarship is given to students which are very close to teachers and are just above average students.

Campus Life

3.5

Campus life is good as the number of tech students is huge and generally comes from various parts of punjab, gender ratio is around 65:35. Diversity is good with students coming from various places. Extracurricular activities are good and have weight age in final marks. Labs are well equipped. latest things installed.

Hostel Facilities

3

Hostel facilities are good, they have separate wing for PG and UG hostel students and the rooms are very neat, rooms are spacey. Bathrooms are clean. a perfect place for student life. But don't be too happy as the mess is the worst part of these hostel. They are suppose to be good as its in Punjab but are not.

Alumni/Alumna

Being an Alumni of the college tried to help my juniors a lot for their internship, placement and career counselling for future. But there is no connect through school. It is all due to efforts of teachers who have connect with old students of the college.

Exam Structure

Exam Structure is based on the pattern of Punjab Technical University which in terms of quality is very bad. The University structure needs to be updated but they are not at all improvising on the quality of the entire education system followed in the university.

Faculty

3

The Faculty of the college was good enough to teach us the basics of whatever that elective hold. Faculty was pretty young in terms of experience, couple of teachers only were having high industry experience. Most of them were pass-outs of one or the other college a year or two ago.Teachers were always into books and no extra experiential activities were happening at the college but still they were helpful at most of the times in getting our issues/problems sorted.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements from semester 3rd and the also get internship after 2nd semester. Placement rate is quite impressive as we look for the fee. In short more than 75% of the students will get placed and remaining will get offers as well but they don't join. My plan after MBA is be a good manager at some biggest company.

Placement Experience:

Final Placement also starts from August along with the Summer internships, Usually till February Most of the students get placed, but during our time placements was bit challenging due to market conditions. everyone does not get placed some opt out and those who did not get placed have to search by their own. Few students from my batch are still yet to be placed, Placements committee is bringing companies but those companies are not good or paying much lesser. In my opinion Placement Process should be done by Management or any Agency, Students should not be involved in the Placements role. When students are involved for placements and they have been provided with so much control and power they misuses it. The Placement Committee run by students does not work with transparency lot of misuse of power and control is being done by those students.

Placement Experience:

I already got placement in the final year of B.Tech from the same campus in a Noida-based company but want to pursue MBA first. It all depends upon the capabilities of a student to get a placement from a campus drive, college provides a good number of opportunities regarding the same. In my batch, all the eligible candidates got placed in companies either from campus placement or direct interviews. After completing my MBA degree, I will try for MNCs related to the semiconductor industry.

Our college is a very good college as compared to all the other MBA colleges in the city. The main advantage of the college is the shorter MBA course which is seldom available for the students seeking an MBA.
