Remarks

One of the best colleges for agriculture. Paradise of future officers. The admission process started in June and the first year of college starts in August.

There are hardworking as well as smart working staff is available which is very helpful for Guidance.

Course Fees: INR 30000 per year

Placement Experience

There are some fertilizer companies, seed company takes the campus selection for last year's graduate students.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is semester wise, there is no any big amount for academic. Generally 15000 Rupees for one semester for an open student with a hostel facility.

Campus Life

The campus of the college is very beautiful, there are so many large trees which makes it very comfortable in this polluted city.

My experience at VIT pune

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible to apply for placement is after 2 year or at 5th semester. And companies that have visited are Morgan Stanley, TCS, JP Morgan, etc. and many others. Basic package is about 7 lacs per annum which I consider as okay for freshers. And the student which got highest is 26 lac per annum as he was one of the brightest student of the college. I think 50 to 60 percent students get placed more or less maximum are low package students. My plans are different than doing job so not applied at any of the job.

the timings are great for students who wanna work while studying, but that only starts in the SY because in FY there are lectures from 10 to 1, that will give youll time to enjoy as a student, where as in SY n TY lectures will be from 7 to 9

placements are pretty decent here, especially for comp/it students. The average package here is around 12 to 14lakh, college provide on campus placements too, our placement cell is pretty hardworking. almost 97 to 99% of students get placed here.

An Imaginary ideal college

I had applied for other colleges of Agriculture field only. But for answering the question this college is located in the centre of Pune city. No, I didn't get any rejection from any college as I had this college as my first preference over all. The admission process for my college is to pass the Common Entrance Test exam conducted by Maharasthra board by acquiring a good percentage (caste wise variable) the cutoffs are like : open category - 98-99 percentile Ews category - 96-98 percentile OBC - 92 percentile ... In a Brief about College of Agriculture Pune

Eligibility - 10+2 from any recognised board with any stream in +2. You can find the application form on the MCAER website. There you can fill required details. The entrance exam of ICAR UG or MH CET is mandatory. Earlier they used to consider +2 marks also but now they've stopped. There is 1 seat reserved for the son/daughter of defence employees. The campus is great. However, professors prefer to teach in the local language (Marathi) which can be a big barrier to understanding the concepts of students from other states....Read More
