Remarks

This college has its own specifications for good laboratories and infrastructures. Efficient teaching and non-teaching staffs. Situated in a good transport area it enables to access college easily. As we know this is an agricultural college it has enough hectares of dry, wet and garden lands with proper irrigation facilities and a good farm manager. It has a greenhouse, playhouse, dairy, goat, piggery, poultry, duckery, earthworm, compost, mushroom production, agrometeorology observatory units.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

This is the only course provided by the institute. Faculty members are extraordinary they are always remembered by me. They are well experienced with both theoretical as well as on practical knowledge. Faculty members were done their PG and PhD in the relevant field. Teaching method is mainly through digital PPT method as well as board whenever needed. There are 2 semesters for a year. Yes, it was difficult but you can cross this when you put your efforts at the exam times tirelessly.

Placement Experience

2.5

After completing your degree you may provide with campus placements. Some agri related Pvt companies may hire you at the time of you complete your degree with basic pay of 10000 plus allowances. It depends on your choice. We can go to various govt. Jobs like AO AFO SO AGT provided by state and central govt. agencies through competitive exams or you can start your own business like greenhouse poultry dairy agriclinic businesses etc.

Fees and Financial Aid

I have paid 150000 for a year including for TNAU (university fee). But now may be increased in fee about 200000 per year (note: this is only for counselling students. Different fee structure for management quota i.e maybe 30000 high). Yes, there is a scholarship facility for backward and sc st community.

Campus Life

4

Annually there are two mega fests club inauguration and club day. And monthly some minor fests like Tamil mandram farmers day women's day NSS NCC activities etc. About the library, there is plenty of books related to agriculture you can also avail some monthly magazines and competitive magazines and newspapers from there. There are also computers with wifi connection in which you can avail any online content that you want to seek.

Hostel Facilities

3

4 members allocated by a room. There is cot bed and pillow provided by them for each person in first year you can use it up to your final year. 2 fans 2 windows one door. Bathroom and toilet there is a separate section on the corner of the floor with a good water facility. Meal is normal morning:idly dosa upma poori bread and jam with coffee. Afternoon full meals with side dishes. Dinner is dosa chappathi variety rice etc..in alternate with a banana and milk. Hostel fees is little bit costly in my view.

Interview Experience

3

Since this is a bachelor's degree course there is no such GD or PI. Your eligibility evaluated done through counselling from TNAU. Management quota that is up to the college management.
