•First I applied for Gandhigram rural university for BSc Agriculture course and I got a seat there through counseling later I came to know that that course is not accredited by UGC in that university •Now I got admission to Agricultural College and Research Institute Madurai through General counseling •The whole process of counseling is online mode. If you got a seat in any college under TNAU u should submit your original certificates to TNAU Coimbatore •The minimum cut-off for getting into Govt agricultural college is 180 ( may change from yr to yr) but u get a Private clg seat if u get a minimum of 150. • Admission process: Apply for Counselling - Conduction of online counseling - Seat allotment - Certificate submission - Fee payment through net banking - College Commence

•This course covers a wide field of knowledge which will be useful for me in UPSC preparation •Most of IAS IPS officers in Tamilnadu are agricultural graduates • Staff Students ratio - 1:15 • The faculties are friendly and highly qualified • Agricultural course is bid a tough one. There will be 68 subjects in 4 years of Agriculture course. •There will be a Mid-semester exam on 51st day of the semester, practical exams commences at 91st day, and Semester examination will be held at 105th day of the semester

The Final semester is full of Internship and Field works The students must undergo a scheme called RUWAA in which students groups ( Minimum 10 students per group) Alloted to work in field in rural areas around the localities of our college Then the students will participate internship in Various agricultural related companies such as Fertilizer company, Agrochemical industry etc.. The students group mentioned in the RUWAA must subject a project regarding their works before final examination

There will be campus interview at Final semester after completing our Internship The students with high OGP through out the course will be easily get placement in campus interview There is a separate Secretary appointed among the final yr students who will deal with the campus interview process Nearly 25% Students got placement in campus interview After I get the degree I'll prepare for UPSC examination

•The average semester fee will be ?18500 and mess fee will be min ?3000/month •There will be a scholarship for BC MBC SC ST students providing ?19000/yr for BC and MBC students and ?36000/yr for SC ST students • We can pursue higher studies with stipend through JRF Joint Research Fellowship

•There will be lots of functions, feasts, Competition, tournaments • Talentia ( inter college tournament) Thullal ( Intra college tournament) Muthamizhl Function, Pongal Function are conducted annually • ICT - Inter College tournament will be conducted for all 30 Agricultural colleges under TNAU • Freshers sports meet, Club tournament will be conducted within the campus annually • In our college NCC/NSS either one is a compulsory course. •There are Music band, Dance band to show our talents •Rotarct club is available at our campus

• There will be separate hostels for Boys and girls • There wil be 5 hostels - UG boys hostel, UG girls hostel - 1 & 2 , PG boys hostel, PG girls hostel • In UG boys hostel also known as VALLUVAR ILLAM, A room will be shared between 4 students and Single rooms will be provided for Final yr students • There is a separate toilets and bathroom for each floor • There is a High wifi connection in all the hostels • High quality food is provided in the mess • There are separate mess for boys and girls • The hostel registration occurs on the first day orientation for the freshers • our college is located in a remote area.
