Remarks

Excellent placements and known for overall development of a woman. Compared to other engineering colleges in Mumbai UMIT has less number of students getting in a year because of 60 students per stream, individual attention can be provided by the faculties

Course Curriculum Overview

If you are a girl with consistent routine to build her day and so her life aspiring engineering,UMIT is the place for you dear. In all spheres of curriculum and academics UMIT never lags behind, being a part of SNDT women's university it has a different approach of taking exams and tests which is way different from Mumbai university but it is easier and more informative because this college focuses more on practical and field knowledge which is going to benefit you in a long run.

College Events

UMIT is a place of events, all year round some or the other event is going on for the engagement of students. They have 2 big technical councils CSI -computer society of india, IEEE- institute of electronics engineer student chapters which are very active. Other student chapters include E-CELL, ACM, WIE, sports council, 'queen bandits' the dance team.

Campus Life

UMIT is the 1st building in the lush green Juhu campus of SNDT women's university. The campus of SNDT is huge with a large ground for events of particular colleges. There are two canteens a big one and other small one for side snacks. One stationery shop is located within the campus. Auditorium is also there. Basketball court and badminton courts are there two.

Remarks:

I chose this because I liked its infrastructure and it's location. I had seen none such college with awesome infrastructure and environment. The college is located in Hilly area where we can see waterfall in rainy season. This waterfalls attracted me very much.

LIFE AT USHA MITTAL INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY.

i applied in difffrent colleges like ST. Francis college of engineering, borivali , Atharva college of engineering , malad etc. I didnt make it there as being a student belonging to the open category the cutoff for my desired branch was a bit higher whereas my college provided me with an opportunity to be eligibible for my desired branch.
