Remarks

Curriculum was according to preference and the subjects were of my liking. After talking to various passouts, I got a basic sense of the college and decided to apply. Along with academics, the college also provided various opportunities in sports

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum was up to date and the method of teaching was different than most colleges. A practical front in teaching helped keep the students engaged and the classes were fun. Regular activities in class also helped us.

The placements provided are supposed to be very good. With a 96% placement, our college attracts various companies, like the big 4.

College Events

The campus life is nothing short of phenomenal. The sports facilities provided, along with a fully functional gym ensured that we were provided with top notch facilities. This helped clear our minds after a long day in college.

The Real Experience: Strengths and Shortcomings of PCCOE

Placement Experience:

The college has a dedicated Training and Placement(T&P) cell and has regular recruitment drives that work to place students in companies where they will be values highly. Each year, 600-700 students are placed from all the branches. More than 300+ companies visit but the ones that hire are limited such as TCS, Capgemini, Infosys, Tech Mahindra which generally are mass recruiters that look for employees that will work for 3LPA or 4.5LPA. The highest packages go to about 30 to 40 LPA domestic and 61 LPA foreign but it is very rare to get a placement like this and requries considerable effort on the side of the student as well. Average package is 7 LPA for CS/IT branch; 5 LPA for electronics and telecommunications branch; 4 LPA for mechanical. My plan after getting the degree is working for 1-2 years while simultaneously pursuing masters.

My experience at Bharati Vidyapeeth.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible to apply for placements from the seventh semester. Many Mass recruiters offer jobs to students in our college, some of them being- TCS, Cognizant, Accenture, ICICI Lombard and Capgemini Ai. The average package offered is a around 6LPA and usually the highest package is about 12LPA. Around 65-80% of the students get placed directly from college. I plan to pursue a career in my field after graduation.

My college is well known for its co-curriculum. It conducts different different competitions for students for example:- 1) Debate competition 2) Postermaking competition 3) Slogan making competition 4) Paper presentation competition 5) Research based activity And many more Our college also conduct Ganesh festival And celebrate the festival. The whole 10 days one day we have Garba other day we have dandiya we have singing competition, dancing competitions. We have a DJ night we have sports conducted on Ganesh festival. Sports includes football, basketball volleyball, relay athletics, cricket. Our college also celebrate their own fest Which includes fashion show dances of each Batches, singing, competition, drama, DJ night and sports indoor and outdoor Booth

Symbiosis: a zig zag experience

I chose Symbiosis because it offered International Business which is of my keen interest. When I contacted other colleges and enquired about this course, they said they don't have this course or some said "we're not sure". I mean how can they be not sure of their own curriculum? And I applied only to SYMBIOSIS. Now I'm in my final year and dual specializing in International Business and Marketing. For the admission process, firstly fill the application form and then they'll also conduct a mock test when main entrance exam is around a month away or smtg. And then Symbiosis Entrance EXAM (SET EXAM) happens. After qualifying that,the student is shortlisted to WAT (written assessment test). It's like an essay writing test, you will be given a topic and 20mins of time. Lastly it's the PI (personal interview) and then merit list or not depends on student performance....Read More
