Remarks

St. Mary's College is about 0.5km from the world famous shrine, St. Mary's Cathedral and the serene hilltop attracted everyone to learn there. The College is good in shaping the lives of each and every student. There are very good faculties, excellent infrastructures and value-based education offered by the College.

Course Curriculum Overview

The College follows semester system according to the guidelines of Mahatma Gandhi University. Examinations and publication of results too are based on the University guidelines. We've very good faculty members who've supported us throughout the course.

Class Size: 35Course Fees: INR 5000 per year

Placement Experience

As it is a degree course, there are no special placement opportunities for us. Most of us look for a Post graduation course. There are others who look for jobs with less salary packages. Alumni networking for job referrals too is not that good.

College Events

The College organises various events that calls for the active participation of students. Special occasions like onam, Christmas and new year is full of entertainment programs. Also there are technical and cultural festivals where students of other colleges too participate.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are loan/ scholarship facilities for the deserving students. Those who have good marks are given special scholarship facilities to aid them in their Studies. There are scholarships for those who belong to the reservation category too.

Campus Life

Our campus is provided with excellent infrastructure. There are Sports facilities like football, cricket and handball. Well equipped laboratories and perfectly maintained library too is part of the College.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Data Science is a rising field in computer science. It has lots of oppurtunities in todays world and easy compared to other fields, which made me choose data science. The curriculum consist of various computer programming languages including Python, R and so on which are vital in the field of data science. There are also experienced faculties for teaching of the programming languages. I personally felt that lab hours are not adequate and also the available hours are also not properly utitlised by some teachers. At the end of each semester we have exams and results are published soon as the exams are over, no lagging compared to other universitites.

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA
