Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Mechanical is very vast branch and interesting. You can do research in many fields like Nano technology, Material science and Fracture Mechanics. In the first year you have introduction of all the branches. Then in second year on wards you will come across core subjects like strength of materials, kinematics of machines etc. Third year will be very difficult and interesting because the subjects like Thermodynamics, Turbo machines will be there to study. In the final year a Project need to be carried out in Group.

Internships Opportunities

No internship was given in Your college. Industrial training and industrial visits were there in second and third year.

Placement Experience

2.5

Placement was very less. Only 600 students were placed out of 3000 passed out students. Nearly 30 companies visited our college. But opportunities for Mechanical students were less. Very less Mechanical students were placed. The package for selected candidates was 15000-20000 per month.

College Events

1

Tech fest were conducted by each branch. It was good opportunity to showcase our talent. There were also cultural fest held during academic year. College day was celebrated every year in the month of January and Guests were called from different colleges.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure was very expensive because Every year fee structure was Forty thousand. Ten thousand Tuition fee and thirty thousand was CET fee. Education loans were available for students. Fee was paid in the beginning of the year. Wifi facility was available in the college.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarship were given to the students who excelled in the academics. Education loans were provided by the banks.

Campus Life

4

Campus life was little boring and there was very less time to play after class hours. Sports inter college tournaments were held. Our college won first prize inter college Football match. Extracurricular activities were given less importance in our college.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

I was not staying in hostel. Hence I am not sure about Hostel rooms. Hostel was inside the college campus. Few of my classmates were staying in hostel and they used to have their food in hostel. Both Boys and Girls hostels were there. Cost was little bit less compare to outside. Also there was PG facility available.

Alumni/Alumna

No there was almost no interaction with seniors and alumni. But seniors and alumni were visiting colleges during college Fest.

Exam Structure

There was very less gap between Theory exams and lab exams. Always theory exams were hectic and very less time to prepare. Lab exams were not so difficult. Theory exams were always troubling because the exams were scheduled in the festive time. 8 eight theory exams and two lab exams used to be there in every semister

Faculty

4

The faculties who were teaching us were well qualified. Some of them were PhD. scholars and some of them were M.Tech holders. Faculties were very interested to teach. Experienced lectures made classes little boring. Labs and workshops were interesting.

Placement Experience:

Placements at RNS Institute of Technology are good. Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th or 7th semester. Many companies visit the college, including IT and core companies. Some of the common recruiters include TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and a few core companies for EEE. The average package is around 3 to 5 LPA, and higher packages are also offered for top-performing students. The highest package can go much higher depending on the company. Around 70–80% of students get placed, mainly in IT roles. For EEE students, core placements are limited, but there are good opportunities in software roles. The college also provides training and support for placements. After completing my degree, I plan to get placed in a good company and build my career.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is very unique, and very new, we are not taught irrelevant subjects and topics like every university does, Polaris school of technology (PST) is a new gen college which mainly focuses on tech, producing the best engineers not amongst india but amongst the world, it's aim is to produce engineers who are better than IITians and MITians, all these specifications influenced me to choose this course/curriculum When it comes to real-world applications, Polaris school of technology(PST) gives us real-life problems and scenario based projects through evaluations which help us in the future and helps us to build a proper approach for problems and train us to be the best. We have two main exams per sem which would be conducted every 3 months that is ½th of the sem, we have a total of 8 sems, so total 16 exams, our exams would be difficult for other college students, but not for us as we have the best mentors.
