Remarks

The college management is ultimate and so many events are not allowed by the college. Many suggestions from students are not implemented by the college with some silly reasons. One good thing about the college is that it is well maintained. The campus is clean and beautiful.

Entrance Preview

I diddnt write any entrance examination before joining this college. I heard about this college from one of my relatives. The intro i got about this college was not bad. The admission process was really simple, I came with all the documents and money of course money. The office completed my admission the same day. I joined this college because it had a good campus environment and good resources to study. I had an option between computer science and electronics for my bachelor. I chose computer science because i had an interest in computer languages from the beginning and heard from seniors that electronics was very tough.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Pretty much all the electives are either chosen by the department based on the number of students opting. The course curriculum is not good according to my opinion. Some subjects look unimportant. The faculties are good and have good communication skills.

Internships Opportunities

There are no internships offered in this college. They only promote studies. Not much importance is given to other activities. Actual job experience is important before an actual job. But this chance is not provided in college.

Placement Experience

2

Campus placements help a lot of students. But the main problem is that core companies are very few. Most of the companies are IT companies and pick students from every departments. Companies that place more students are ITC, Infosys, TCS, Infotech. They have a basic pay of about 25000. The placement procedures are simple and enough training is given to tackle these placements But the absence of core companies is a huge drawback.

College Events

1

Most celebrated events are college day and sports day. Events conducted during these days are attractive. The technical fest conducted here is TIARA a national level tech fest. People from all over karnataka participate in these events. The technical events are of national quality. The cultural events give students to showcase their talents.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee stricture is not expensive compared to other college with similar educational quality. They also have concessions for studious students. Being a catholic institution there is concessions for poor catholic students. This makes the management fees of such students equal to the government suggested fees.

Fees and Financial Aid

Any documents required by the bank for loans are provided from the college. So loan procedures are simple. I dont know clearly about any scholarships but fee concessions based on marks are available. These are approved for students with marks above 60%. These are decided by the management.

Campus Life

4.5

Gender ratio looking at the whole college would be 1:1. But certain departments like mechanical have very few female students. The number would be less than 5 in each class. And in other departments like computer science and electronics the number of males is less. Hostel parties are not allowed. Labs and extra curricular activities are give importance only if they are part of the syllabus. Other than what is there in syllabus very least importance is given.

Hostel Facilities

4

The hostel rooms keep the standard of the institution. The rooms are twin sharing. There is an option to take up the rent of 2 people to occupy single room. The rooms are spacious and clean. The mess provides good food. The quality of the mess food is good but not that tasty. Compared to other students experience in nearby colleges i think its good. Avialibility of PG's are low. They charge an average rent of 2500 rupee without food.

Alumni/Alumna

Special department is maintained to conduct and organize alumni. Its good to be back to our college once we graduate from this college. Other students who are not alumni are not allowed for such functions. Good communication is maintained by the alumni.

Exam Structure

The exam structure is really bad.The university cannot be controlled by the college so we cannot blame college for that. And those are like chilled out with enough study time ignoring the fact that they the days just before and after Christmas. The internal exams are hectic. Three continuous days for 6 subjects. Exams in the morning and afternoon. Thats really a bad structure and no time to study.

Placement Experience:

Placements at RNS Institute of Technology are good. Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th or 7th semester. Many companies visit the college, including IT and core companies. Some of the common recruiters include TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and a few core companies for EEE. The average package is around 3 to 5 LPA, and higher packages are also offered for top-performing students. The highest package can go much higher depending on the company. Around 70–80% of students get placed, mainly in IT roles. For EEE students, core placements are limited, but there are good opportunities in software roles. The college also provides training and support for placements. After completing my degree, I plan to get placed in a good company and build my career.

Companies like HP, Infosys, Wipro come for recruiting and make offers from 3L per annum to 30 L per annum. Around 70 percent of the students get placed through campus placement. I plan on working for a dream company after completing my degree.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is very unique, and very new, we are not taught irrelevant subjects and topics like every university does, Polaris school of technology (PST) is a new gen college which mainly focuses on tech, producing the best engineers not amongst india but amongst the world, it's aim is to produce engineers who are better than IITians and MITians, all these specifications influenced me to choose this course/curriculum When it comes to real-world applications, Polaris school of technology(PST) gives us real-life problems and scenario based projects through evaluations which help us in the future and helps us to build a proper approach for problems and train us to be the best. We have two main exams per sem which would be conducted every 3 months that is ½th of the sem, we have a total of 8 sems, so total 16 exams, our exams would be difficult for other college students, but not for us as we have the best mentors.
