This Institute is one the best institutes in overall India and the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay is a public technical and research university located in Powai, Mumbai, India. IIT Bombay was founded in 1958. In 1961, the Parliament decreed IITs as Institutes of National Importance. And according to various sites, it is ranked #3.

Course Curriculum Overview

Teachers are very helpful and so much qualified and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is very good. World-class teachers are available in my college. They give practical knowledge as well as subjective knowledge. They make all the students industry-ready.

Class Size: 250Course Fees: INR 850000 per year

Placement Experience

100% placements are done in college on an average package of 14 Lacs. The highest package was offered 1 crore and the lowest as 7 Lacs. The best college in technical education in India and Asia. Some students are on the way of becoming an entrepreneur and they are opening their own startups and getting high funding from ventures.

The college is so big so huge and the events that are held in this are also huge large so studying in this college and doing BTech was my dream from my childhood and the college arrange fest for all students which makes student also realize what talent they can show out people many children participate in them.

Overall review of my college life in VIT Pune

Placement Experience:

The Training Placement Office Logins are given to us in the third year of the college where alot of companies gives opportunities to apply for the said job role or internship. Approximately 5 to 10 companies visits are there every month which increases as you enter your final year of college.

After 1st year student can openly apply for internship, theon campus internship is avaliable after 4th Sem. The highest amount goes to Quant Finance and more than 75% gets placed for in-campus. The highest pakacemet was INR 3cr for the Quant profile.

From the 6th semester the students are eligible for campus placements. Many companies visit this college like Infosys, Calfus , Amazon , UBS, Crowdstrike. In case of no campus placements, one can try research internship offered by college.

My experience at VIT pune

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible to apply for placement is after 2 year or at 5th semester. And companies that have visited are Morgan Stanley, TCS, JP Morgan, etc. and many others. Basic package is about 7 lacs per annum which I consider as okay for freshers. And the student which got highest is 26 lac per annum as he was one of the brightest student of the college. I think 50 to 60 percent students get placed more or less maximum are low package students. My plans are different than doing job so not applied at any of the job.

Mostly After 3rd Year Students Apply For Placements Here The Average Package Here Is Good But Percentage Placement On Campus Is Less...Maybe Because A Lot Students Get Off Campus Placements And Many Go For The Further Studies!!!

Students are eligible for placement from the third year itself for ppo and so. There are several companies visiting thakur around the year and there are a lot who get placement off campus too. I have heard a student from comps got into google at 72lpa. you can visit the tnp site for more detail.

placements are pretty decent here, especially for comp/it students. The average package here is around 12 to 14lakh, college provide on campus placements too, our placement cell is pretty hardworking. almost 97 to 99% of students get placed here.

so i did fill for other college but yes iit bombay was my 1st preference so i got it and acc to my rank i was gettinng into iit bombay very easily but to be on safe side i added more option . so i have cleared jee advanced to get here . for mtech you have to pass gate . the admission iprocess is impler only its mostlyy digital.cutoffs of jee adv is obviously very high due to number of student who wnt to go in iit and number of studnet who get selected there is huge difference so dropper increases ....Read More
