Remarks
Because Navyug Girls Degree College is a government college charging lesser fee for its regular B.Ed course as compared to other private colleges offering the same course. I wanted to pursue B.Ed course from a government college as I had the perception that students passed out from such colleges are valued more during placement in schools.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum and syllabus was based on very outdated guidelines which didn't match with the current status, conditions and problems of students. However faculty tried its best to provide good guidance and exposure to students, the administration of the college was slow and retarded.
Placement Experience
A placement drive is organised every year for students passing out although the placement rate is very low considering the placement records of last few years. However the students are so self sufficient, they have always got themselves placed in reputed schools.
College Events
The annual day function used to be a grand occasion in the college when all the students from all departments participated and showcased their talents. Sports fest was also organised at a grand scale which extended for upto a week.
Campus Life
Sports facilities of the college were good but library didn't meet the expectations and necessities of the students. Many books of reputed writers were missing and those available were of old edition.
