Remarks
I wanted to study microbiology, biotechnology both as main subjects in my bachelor's, chemistry was a bonus (this I'm having triple main subjects)and colleges offering it in India were very few. When I visited Ramaiah college campus in Bangalore the study ambiance was perfect!. along with the best huge campus infrastructure, faculties, placement assurance and lab exposure. Studying in Bangalore was also my priority. So for me nothing was better than Ramaiah!.
Course Curriculum Overview
Curriculum is good, but not up to date. Some changes must be definitely made regarding curriculum. Yes, we are provided industrial exposure. Every year students are taken to industrial field visits to gain maximum knowledge. Hands-on trainings are given as well. Faculties are amazing and most of them are PhD holders.
Placement Experience
Fairly good, I've seen my seniors getting places at Well paying companies (especially master's students) and there is almost 100% placement for them. Where as bachelor's Students are not placed that well in campus placement.
College Events
Campus life is the best. There are cultural events every now and then to name few, Xtasy- annual cultural event, Aaravam- Onam celebration, Akurat- The Ganesha festival, Ramaiah habba, Ethnic days, Science day. These are famous and allows inter branch participation.
Campus Life
Campus infrastructure is amazing! Sports is given equal priority too. There are both indoor and outdoor sports stadiums. Each student has special password through which he/she can get access to WiFi. Library is average sized but fulfills needs of Students. Labs have all the required equipments, but few labs (lab keepers) doesn't maintain it in good condition and behave rude if students wish to work in lab for extra hours.
