Remarks

This college is one of the best college of Kerala where all the major Pharmacy courses are offered. The college is situated in Madayipara, Payangadi which is one of the popular city in Kannur. There is a good transportation facilities available to reach the college like Railway transport and bus.

Course Curriculum Overview

Bachelor of Pharmacy is a 4 years course where there would be a total of 8 semesters. Each semester have 2 internal practical exam, 2 internal theory exam and end semester theory and practical exam seperately. The syllabus was updated from 2017. The junior faculties have no stability as many of them transfers to other colleges in short period.

Placement Experience

3.5

After B.pharm graduation, many students undergo training mainly in the local community pharmacy. The job opportunities are not up to date. The salary package is low. Some graduates also get placement in hospital pharmacy.

College Events

College have always conducted Arts day and college day. The arts day is always a great competition for every batch. Sports day is also conducted by the college but the college doesn't have its own sports ground. The festival events like Onam and Christmas is celebrated in the college.

Campus Life

Crescent College have its own auditorium. There is a large library in the college that is useful for the students for referring. Pharmacy related journals and science magazine is present in the library which is up-to-date.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Data Science is a rising field in computer science. It has lots of oppurtunities in todays world and easy compared to other fields, which made me choose data science. The curriculum consist of various computer programming languages including Python, R and so on which are vital in the field of data science. There are also experienced faculties for teaching of the programming languages. I personally felt that lab hours are not adequate and also the available hours are also not properly utitlised by some teachers. At the end of each semester we have exams and results are published soon as the exams are over, no lagging compared to other universitites.

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.
