Remarks

First is it's near my home. It's a nice campus with various departments of studies, the canteen is big, an attached ground for activities. The connectivity of this area is good. The nearest metro station is kabi nazrul.

Course Curriculum Overview

The faculty here is sophisticated. They are sincere and helpful. It follows the syllabus followed by Calcutta university as this university falls under Calcutta university. Classes are conducted regularly by the teachers.

Placement Experience

About 25% students get placement. Wipro, Tcs, mahindra are the recruiting companies. Internship are not available for the students. The salary range for the students who placement are between 15000 to 20000.

College Events

Extracurricular activities are minimal during the morning session. Still there are events like sports that are held. Other than that functions are held time to time. Students participation is average.

A Deep Dive into JGEC

Placement Experience:

From 4th year the students become eligible for on campus placements. Few companies that visited are BEL which offered 12lpa , wtw which also offered 12lpa , TCS which offered 9 lpa highest, and many more . Highest package offered this year was 54lpa by Microsoft (off campus) . On campus highest was BEL which offered 12 lpa , the average package is around 8 lpa . My plan is to prepare myself for government exams and get a job by the end of my 4th year .

from 7th semester (for btech students), 9th semester (for dual degree students) students are eligible for campus placements. there are numerous companies which visit the campus...and generally nearly all students get placed during the placement season, but recently there has been recession and companies are not taking less number of the students than they usually do.
