Remarks

This college has good facilities but some how mangement is not so strong. We dont get proper knowledge about management decisions if something thing has to be changed.

Entrance Preview

I got my seat through AIEEE. I scored good in it and so it was easy to me select college. I have checked previous years rankings and fees structures.

Course Curriculum Overview

I am from civil engineering stream and it is the most strict and worthy department of college. I am satisfied with course structure and teachers gaining a new and wide knowledge of my stream.

Internships Opportunities

It was a whole new experience. That was completely different days when mass recruiters came for selection. I am in my regular semester and have not joined training yet. But have got selected in a IT firm.

Placement Experience

The Training and Placement cell of college is very concerned about placements. This year a bunch of companies came and still are coming. TCS 3.33Lakh p.a.,Infosys 3.28 ,LpaCybage softwares 3Lpa,Infogain 4 lpa,Asahi 4 lpa and still more to come.

College Events

Atharva is annual Tech fest of our college. It is huge fest running for two days. Students from whole punjab colleges do participate in it and some come from other state colleges to Genesis is cultural fest of our college. Two day fest with number of bhangra,giddha,dance,singing and star performances.

Fees and Financial Aid

I got seat in Fee waiver scholarship availed by PTU. There are also scholarships for sc,sikh students or on based of marks.

Campus Life

Societies here count as a different. Experience in my life and gender ratio is quite good. Sports event have various facilities.

Hostel Facilities

Hostels and facilities here are good and less costly than other hostels I have seen. Mess food is the thing no one likes for a long time period and needs a break from it intervals.

External Expense: Rs.2000 - Rs.4000

Alumni/Alumna

I have seen negligible ragging cases here in college. Teachers have a good contact,ond with their students.

Honest Review - Thapar University

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placements from the 6th Sem. More than 300 companies visit the placement drive. Highest 43LPA And Average 9LPA. I guess the Percentage of students getting placements is around 80% but the Computing branches have 100% placements. I have no plans right now.

Well LPU is one of the best private in the city of this country which is providing all the facilities and it is over 600 campus the placements are very good of this University, providing world class facilities like library, campus café, education, faculties. Approx. 660+ companies visiting to lpu every year like Bosch, Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, cognizant and mass recruitment companies are also coming here every year

Good college with good faculty

Remarks:

The best thing I found in this college is that it has a friendly environment. Ragging here is strictly prohibited and everyone in the college adhere to it. Coming to some negatives is that the infrastructure of the college is not well developed. As it has been in Chandigarh since 1953 only a few buildings are well developed rest all the buildings are as old as the college.

Remarks:

College is very much concerned about attendance criteria that is the students having attendance less than 75% get detained that is they are not allowed to give semester exams. They will be marked absent in the exam and have to give it in the next semester.

Good faculty and quality of education but less placements

Remarks:

Good college is great in terms of study and material being offered to us the facilities provides to us of ro and 24/7 electricity and water wifi campus Good interaction ability building in student. Bad core companies placements is less hostel rooms for 2nd 3rd year not up to the mark of construction.

As this college was nearest to my home . It is. Also one the most popular college in Punjab. It is most affordable college . I didn't applied to any other college . The admission here was from 2 rounds of open counseling and I got admission in 2 nd round. The cutoff for my course was about 85%. There was no such exam as entrance exam .
