Remarks

I wanted to study pgdm with finance specialization mainly because iam having finance background in degree. I pursued bcom with finance. So i was looking for pgdm course with finance specialization in Kerala, my home state. Then I came to know SCMS is best for PGDM in Kerala after IIM K and scms is good in placements too.

Course Curriculum Overview

We had an outbound training at suryanelli, munnar.we had internship in term 5.usually out of native state to get more exposure. But we have done it online due to lockdown.our syllabus is well updated and finance teachers are good.we had a lot of interactive sessions with experienced persons from different industries. I think campus rules are comparatively stricter than others.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 750000 per year

Placement Experience

Our placements preparations are going on and it delayed due to pandemic. In case of seniors, around 75% students got placed. Pandemic affected the placement statistics.

College Events

Campus life comparatively stressful with lot of assignments with deadlines, presentations and group works. At the same time we celebrates Fest, sports, festivals. As management students, we used to get various occasions for coordinating various programs and seminars nationally and internationally inside as well as outside the campus.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel infrastructure is good and rules are comparatively stricter especially for girls hostel.we have permission to go outside hostel from 6 30am to 6 30pm.In case of any urgency, can go till 7 30 pm with special permission. Relatives and others cannot enter into the campus before or after allowed time. 4 students per room.

OUR COLLEGE LIFE

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from the 7th sem. Many famous and small compines vist our college. Infosys, WIPRO, TCS vist our college. But the big companies take only few student. Highest package was 1,00,000. And the average package is around 4,00,000. Almost all students gets placed from the campus .

My Experience at NIT Calicut

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the EEE course curriculum around 8-8.5 /10 in terms of relevance.The curriculum provides strong fundamentals in core electrical engineering subjects and prepares students well for core jobs and higher studies.The course curriculum was revised in 2023, and our batch is the 1st batch under the new curriculum. however, there are still limited coding ,AI and data science subjects in EEE ,which could be improved. Exams are conducted times per semester and are generally moderately difficult.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the course curriculum is lakhs relevance to modern industry demands. while it covers the basics there is minimum focus on practical skills emerging technologies and real world applications overall, the courses not comprehensive enough.

Students are eligible from 7th semester to sit for interviews. The pod.ai app helps us in making the resume and calculating a cgpa to appear for the intwrviews. The pod.ai registration fees is 500?. Companies such as nissan,infosys,commandtech,bimlabs,gulfasia etc has visited . And the highest package was 11 LPA and lowest was 3 LPA
