Remarks

One of the best college in North India well known for its placement in big brands like Amazon, Flipkart etc. and for the quality education. I opt this college because of its fees structure, gives best return of our investment.

Course Curriculum Overview

Academic is good, regular seminars, opportunities to present business ideas through participating in management events. Faculty is good, specially placement faculty, they provide us regular updates how to prepare yourself for the placement. 1 Industrial visit in my 1st semester.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 145000 per year

Placement Experience

First of all student must have 75% attendance and 70% minimum in graduation, i saw my senior they got Supplementary still because of their talent they got placed in good company. If i talk about company - Amazon, Flipkart, Federal bank, and for fashion designing students Tommy Hilfiger and many more good companies. So in short you need to develop your skills that's all matter

College Events

To be honest I'm enjoying my campus life there are a lot of technical events where students showcase their talent by making gadgets and win cash prizes, events of Punjabi singers to refresh our mind and organize activities like sports festivals management events and many more.

Fees and Financial Aid

College provide scholarship to those students who score good in their 12th and also provide installment method to some needy students.

Campus Life

Infrastructure is okay, it have various sports facilities and their ground like volleyball, basketball, badminton, football and cricket. Free Wifi, library is also free, you don't need to buy any book from outside.

Hostel Facilities

Separate hostel for boys and girls, in boys hostel there are 6 floor in each room 3 students and you can share more according to your wish. Food isn't good to be honest other facilities are good like free High speed Wifi regular cleaning.

Hostel Fee: INR 80000 per year

Brief About NITJ

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placement in their final year (7th semester). only a few companies made no offers. I can recall only 1 name Nation with NAMO. highest package in Civil branch was 14LPA. Average is 6LPA. for all branches highest was 42LPA with average 12 LPA. placement % is 60-80 among all branches which is improving every year. I am planning for higher education.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My course that is bsc in artificial intelligence and data science is quite demanding and I think this is the only field which is growing faster. Another reason for choosing this was I had huge interest in this field. But faculty,their teaching way and syllabus is too way less as compared to course. They focus more on their rather than the practical work but in this field practical work is more important than theory as theory plays no role in this field . They must reduce the number of mid sem exams conducted and focus more on making students better in practical work. After the starting of semester, just after 25 days when syllabus not even completed as the 1st unit.. they shout spreading the news of exams. We just got too busy in exams which make us feel distracted from our real work .

True experience of a SLIET Student

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course as I was interested in Robotics and my parents wanted me to take a core branch. The curriculum is not very relevant but some topics are good and related like modern welding technologies and manufacturing techniques. I think our college curriculum needs to be updated where more new world technologies like AR and VRs should be taught with advance robotics. Teaching methods used are classical I think professors should try to use smart classrooms to visualise the concept to make it better understandable. Exams are moderate level but I think our college needs to reduce exam frequency although we have time but due to exams nearly every month it doesn't feel good.
