Remarks
Dayalbagh Educational Institute is a very reputated college and has been a part of top 100 colleges of UP. This year it also got NBA accreditation. The factors that made me take admission in DEI were- 1. Affordable fees for B.Tech. 2. Quality Education 3. Great exposure. 4. Good placement cell. 5. Good internship opportunities. 6. It is very near from my home.
Course Curriculum Overview
We were well-introduced to all the courses during the first semester of b.tech programme. I have been in contact with students of other courses as well and found out that there is a lot of learning opportunity in every course if one has the desire to learn. Talking about the b.tech programme, we were taken for industrial visits twice in the first semester. We were shown the laboratories, workshops and industry within the campus. In second semester, the pandemic took over the world and colleges were closed so from that time till now we haven't visited any industry, although it is in our course. Out of all the faculties in DEI, I found arts and social science faculty the best. The reason these faculties outstood from the others is that the exposure to social life. Opposite gender interaction is the most common thing that a teenager looks for and these faculties definitely have this kind of exposure.
Placement Experience
The placement from DEI has been not so good in recent years but it isn't too bad as well. Out of 4 branches namely mechanical, electrical, civil and footwear, the best placements are in footwear in coming years. The companies that have visited DEI are Tata motors, Suzuki, Mahindra, Jindal steel and power, Tata consultancy services, HCL, Adobe, Infosys, Birlasoft, Bata. More information is available on the official site www.dei.ac.in
College Events
Co-curricular activities are held regularly. Everybody gets equal opportunities to showcase the talent. Events on Independence Day, Republic Day, etc are held every year. Campus life is little bit dull. You don't get to interact with your opposite gender much which I think is an important element of college life. There is always restrictions on talking to the person of opposite gender.
Campus Life
The campus is built over very large area of land. The buildings are well maintained, the classrooms are big enough to accomodate all the students of a specific course, furniture is well furnished, the grounds are well maintained, parking area is sufficient, maximum attention is paid on women safety, and the campus always remain clean and tidy.
