I wanted to get into top 3 engineering college in maharashtra via mhtcet as my JEE mains didn't fetch me seat in top 7 Nits . So while filling form of CAP I filled all branch of government college such as COEP , VJTI, SPCE because of their reputation and legacy of many decades. Then I got SPCE civil in 2 nd round of CAP . The reason I choose SPCE over new Nits was its strategic location in Mumbai , its incredible reputation of more than 5 decades , Its fees was way much less than that of new nits ( fees of 4 yrs at spce is 2.8 lakh and of nits was nearly 8 lakh )...Read More

It's a government college. Has a very good placement record, almost everybody in my batch got a campus job. Fees are low compared to other colleges in Mumbai. SPCE Mumbai is the best college in Maharashtra .It offers great teaching and the professors have excellent subject-knowledge.It also shapes the personality of a student,as various fests like SPACE(cultural fest) and SPECTRA(Technical fest) are extra-ordinary with various exciting events. It also gives chance to students to fit-in leadership roles and form various committees.Students actively organise all the events during these festivals. Also,they get a chance to participate in the events and interact with guests present in the events.Aditionally this is a very beautiful college in Andheri with lot of natural beauty like Bhavan's Lake,Nature and Adventure club, Yoga and Fitness club ,Botanical Garden and Bhavans cultural club is like the cherry on the cake.It Also offers great placements for all the three branches (Civil,Mechanical and Electrical) with decent packages (3 to 12 LPA) and core companies like TATA, Reliance, Thyssenkrup ,Shapoorji Pallonji ,Burns and macdonells, Gammon Participate in the recuitment process. Positive remarks include good reputation of college, great placements and good exposure to subjects with industry related changes recently happening. Also, extra curricular and co-curricular activities are given importance. Negative remarks are that there are no internship semesters which helps a student to know the industry better. Funding to students in extracurricular and co-curricular activities is given but the amount is quite low. Laboratories should be developed for betterment in future....Read More
