Remarks

The college being in Rajasthan suffers productivity due to extreme climatic conditions. There are days without water in college . No proper maintenance is there and only thing in college going out properly is construction of new buildings and all funds are just directed in funding new buildings. So it might be a good college in future but at present lacks proper management. Management has less interest in students welfare. Overall I would say a decent college but needs serious changes.

Entrance Preview

I took JEE MAINS for entrance and got an AIR of 11970. When counselling started I had many colleges in mind but due to my rank in the exam i was only able to make to this college. I did not want to take computer science so I decided civil engineering and according to the ranking of institutes it is ranked 4th. This was the college I was getting at my marks.Proximity to home was another reason to choose this college.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

Course curriculum is divided in 8 semesters. 2 semesters each year. This includes common syllabus of all branches for the first year and after that we have different syllabus for each branch. The course does not focus on research and the teachers though are highly qualified but still are not much enthusiastic about teaching.the followed course covers all the parts and equips us with all the required knowledge.

Internships Opportunities

Yes college follows the student exchange program and has a pact with german university. Every year student goes to Germany with scholarship under this program. This is a research internship. students get internship in various famous companies of their branch like tata for mechanical, l&t for civil. I am currently in second year so have no experience of internship.

Placement Experience

3

With average placement of 6 lakhs in various branch our college has highest package for CS going upto 60 lakhs. Many major companies visits our campus for recruitment. Job opportunities for branches other than cs are less and its difficult for all students to get on campus placement. Placement percentage for branches are like 70%.

College Events

3.5

Events are a part of most of the colleges. We have MST-malviya sports tournament the annual sports week of our college where all sports related activities are done. Blitzschlag the annual cultural event of the college that includes all cultural activities like singing, dancing , music, vine making, video makingA huge stunt o mania was conducted under this event. Scholars Cup- This is another huge event of our college where teams of 10 participate and various competition like treasure hunt, debate, MUN meet, court sessions occur. Many events are conducted under the cultural society CACS. NO sponsors are attracted for events and it becomes a restriction for the organizers.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Our college is the most expensive of all the NIT's. With a annual fees of around 1.4 lakhs(including all tuition, mess, hostel) it is expensive, but ok as compared to private college fees. The mess food is good and is always ok mess charge 15000 per semester. The rooms in 1st year are shared by three people and 2 nd year onwards everyone has a single room. High speed LAN cables are provided in each room. Hostel fees is 8500 per semester. In total 10 hostels are there with adequate capacity.

Fees and Financial Aid

I have not availed any one and our college does not provides any scholarship or loan facilities Scholarship for the students with Disabilities by NHFDC Merit-cum-means Scholarship for Minority student commonwealth Scholarship AND Fellowship PlanSJE scholarship and Mukhya mantri sarvajan uchch shiksha scholarship scheme ISTE students regional / National Awardstate scholarships.

Campus Life

4

Campus life is good with lots of fun all year round. No restriction on boys for entry exit time while girls have a strict rule of entering the hostel before 9. A lot of extra curricular are organized in the college but the bitter truth is that the students are found most of the time not interested in participating. The biggest problem in college is the funding one does not get funds and thus not many events are organized and the amount of prizes are also less official group for robotics ZINE is there.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni network is being made stronger currently it is not good but a lot of work is being done to improve it. Recently Global Alumni Meet was organized to gain alumni contact so that college can progress by the support of the alumni. They are helpful and in future strong contact will be formed.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Curriculum includes lab works, workshops and seminars. Which influence the choice to choose the course. But they are lacking to get hands on experience. Though they are guest lectures and seminar which is highly beneficial. Need to provide report on summer internship, industrial training, which is mandatory according to curriculum. Which helps in gaining hands on real life skills. But students still pass this barrier using fake certification and copied reports. And faculty is not strict about this. I believe the latest technologies which is not integrated in curriculum like AI/ ML ,recent frameworks , even if integrated not taughtd in depth. Like we have subjects AI , ML but no practical learning. Assignment are huge burden with little learning we need assessment that tests understanding rather than memorization. More subjects needed on softs skills especially in last year during placement season. Live project with company as all student are not able to land good internships. Frequency of exams like midterm( 2 in 3-4 months) ,practical( at the end of semester just after 2 nd midterm exam). End semester exams - 10-20 days after practical exams.

The curriculum here is inspired from IIT Kanpur and IIIT Hyderabad but most of the courses aree not relevant today like in today's world C language is outdated but they always teach everything in C and in ECE branch the courses are considered to be the toughest and maximize of them are not relevant today.

Placements at MIT are excellent and begin in the seventh semester. Our college attracts top tier companies and for the 2024 graduating batch. Major recruiters included Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Adobe, and Samsung. The placement statistics are very strong with the highest package being 52.28 lakhs per annum, the average package Being 14.5 lakhs per annum with over 95 percentage of students participating in the placement process My personal plan after getting my degree to join a leading tech firm as a software development engineer, I want to gain a few years of industry experience to apply the practical skills. I've learnt that before deciding on further specialisation or higher studies.
